Scoop (DVD, 2006)

I bought this movie because Hugh Jackman is one of my favorite actors and had never seen it. I really hate to say it, but the movie truly stunk. Hugh was his usual devilishly handsome self and did a good job in his role, but I thought the role itself was totally unbelievable for him. Overall, the whole plot, schematics of the character interactions, and the acting was very disappointing. Woody Allen was very funny, to his credit. I've never been a very big Woody Allen fan, but I actually thought he was about the best part of the movie.

Not being a FAN of Woody Allen I nearly didn't buy this movie, but I am an over the top FAN of Scarlett Johansson and was not disappointed with this masterpiece. Even Woody Allen, who plays a fumbling magician, was exceptionally good in Scoop. The ending was "GREAT!" in the words of Tony the Tiger. Mystery, Comedy and Suspense are all there in spades, plus the sensual beauty of Scarlett Johansson. What can I say?

Woody Allen did a really nice job in making a enjoyable movie. Hugh Jackman is very convincing in his part. Allen portrays an individual that is really believable, for him. I thoroughly enjoyed this.

I like to refer to Woody Allen's humor as "sophisticated" as opposed to the typical "below the belt" sophomore humor of popular movies like Ricky Bobby etc. If you are put off by toilet jokes, farting, and just plain dumb comedies, then check this one out. It will have you laughing out loud. Woody is at his neurotic best and Scarlett Johanssen is great in this first ever comedic role for her. Their on-screen chemistry is classic. I have no complaints about this. It will remain in my library as a classic to be watched at least once a year!

Great movie. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat with the crazy stunts that the two main characters Sondra Pransky (Scarlett Johansson) and Sid Waterman a magician known as Splendini (Woody Allen) do in order to get to the bottom of the Tarot Card Killings. At times the movie seems to move a bit slow but it really starts to pick up at the end. There is a lot of humor throughout the movie. You don’t know exactly what is going on until the very end. Great performance by all involved.

The DVD Scoop (DVD, 2006)was in okay condition.The dvd was shipped properly so that no damage would come to the DVD.

i loved the movie so much it keeps u on your toes! it is even ok for kids to watch it was funny and you can never go wrong with a woddy allen movie anyways.

Although a fun time-passer, this is minor Woody Allen at best. Nice cast and London locale help a slight and forgettable, albeit enjoyable, entry.
