I bought this DVD hoping the upbeat songs would help my homeschooled daughter remember parts of sentences and other essential facts(Math) that might make her school work be more enjoyable for both of us. It seems to be working

This video helped me when I was a kid. It holds my grandchildrens attention as well. Learning through music tends to stick with children (and often times adults)more permanently.

I bought it so that the children I care for get a chance to experience what I experienced as a kid... and because I wanted to hear some songs

I love all the songs and action. Just as I remember it. There is nothing I do not like about it. I bought this to use in my class to teach the students nouns and all the works.

This DVD contains all of the animated specials that were on TV when we X'ers were growing up. They are great fun, and very nostalgic - as well as excellent reminders. Who doesn't need a "Conjunction Junction" follow up? :)

Buy this, for yourself, and for your kids. They don't show these any more, and it's too bad.

this dvd is perfect for learning many skills needed for success through out the school years- through 12th grade even!! it teaches the preamble,something that we have to recite in the 11th grade! this cd teaches important skills using the catchiest tunes!! most of these same videos were used back in the 70s every saturday between each saturday morning cartoon!! Its great to see that even todays children love them! my 6 children all watch them over and over and have never failed any achievements tests! the skills and the way that schoolhouse rock teaches are priceless!! Hopefully my grandchildren will learn from these same videos!!!!

This was a great concept when it first started on tv many years ago, and it still is today. The concept is that children learn fastest what is the most fun to learn. These songs stick in their heads and the more they play them in their heads, the more they learn. These songs would also be great for someone learning English as a second language.

All of the songs are fun and upbeat. The animation is seamless, the characters are likable, nothing is rated over G.

The only down side is that some of the songs need to be updated a little bit--it's hard to explain to today's kids what a jukebox is or a record or a telephone with a cord. Even I can see that some of these stories look like what they really are--from Grandma's era. One the upside is that it gives you a chance to communicate with your children/grands/ the way some things used to be, presuming they're in the mood to hear it (and probably laugh about it!)

Great watching for the youngest child to tweens. You won't be sorry you bought it.

I BOUGHT IT BECAUSE I LEARNED SO MUCH FROM IT AS A KID. I WANTED MY KIDS TO HAVE SOME FUN WHILE LEARNING.THE BEST PART IS THAT THEY LEARN ABOUT THE MAJOR SCHOOLASTIC SUBJECTS WITHOUT REALIZING IT.THERE IS NOTHING I DISLIKE ABOUT THE PRODUCT. EVERYONE SHOULD GET IT FOR THEIR KIDS.

Remember all those catchy tunes that helped you through school? Learning/memorizing all those facts? Well now they are all right here in one place...ok 2 discs to be real. I love being able to share this with my kids now.

The Schoolhouse Rock Video is precious! I purchased it as a review tool for my classroom. I remember the cartoons from my childhood and thought it would interest and motivate my students. It is versatile. My three-year-old and my third graders all liked it. It is precious. It arrived in good condition. I would definitely purchase similar items. I actually did purchase two similar VCR tapes. They were made by the same animators, but I didn't like them as well. I bought them locally because I recognized the artwork. I wish there were more.

I'm 35. Like most of you all I spent my saturday mornings watching cartoons. My kids can't even imagine a world where cartoons aren't availible 24/7. Saturday mornings were so very special. Schoolhouse Rock was an important part of those long ago days. This DVD is like comfort food for the eyes. Memories, memories, memories. Great idea to re-release this stuff....

The Schoolhouse Rock DVD takes me back to my childhood. My kids love it now as much as I did then! I still remember all the words... and now that my kids are old enough, they enjoy learning about grammar, multiplication, etc. in a fun way.

This is a great video for my family to own. It has all of the songs and video that I remember as a child. I personally like the ease of being able to select a specific song on the DVD without having to tediously fast forward or rewind through a lot of tapes. I have already shared it with my preschool students. I found that I am able to show a portion at a time to my students without them feeling as though they are missing out on the ending to a story. This video has such catchy tunes. My son doesn't even realize that he is learning while he watches. As a family, we are very happy with our purchase.

I love it. I personally don't see how anyone could dislike it, but then I'm probably somewhat biased. I was there from the beginning. I grew up in the 70's. It brought back a lot of great memories. Even though the presentation may be a little dated, the material is still relevant and the lyrics and music still catchy. My 4 year old son can now recite (sing) The Constitution, tell you what a noun, adjective, adverb, or conjunction is, as well as the basics of how a bill becomes a law. Try it for yourself, or you could let your children learn belching, farting, and any number of other obnoxious behaviors from the Cartoon Channel or Nickelodeon or whatever other garbage is out there now. Although I do admit that I find Spongebob to be generally entertaining.

Never received product. Tried to contact seller twice and never received a reply. Had to file a claim and got a refund.

I am sooo very happy that I purchased this. I grew up with School House Rock and remember singing at school with friends. Now I can share it with my son and hope it'll help him like it helped me...I only wish it had all the lyrics to the songs, but not to fear, the website had them.

I absolutely loved watching these movies when I was in grade school! We watched them all the time and I loved it! All of the songs are so cute and they really help in learning! I highly recommend it!

I love this dvd. It brings back so many memories from when I was a child. Now I can let my child grow up learning with the classic songs like "Conjunction Junction" and "I'm just a Bill". It has every School House rock song ever created. What a wonderful find! Everyone should have one!

This really is every bit that Schoolhouse Rock ever did and it's incredible. My only complaint is that Disney put FIVE commercials at the front of the disk for their other products. It's truly a shame that something as creative and clean as Schoolhouse Rock is can be so easily disgraced by Disney's usual commercialization stamp. So after you skip past Disney's garbage the DVD is just as you remember Schoolhouse Rock - perfect in creativity and humility.

What a treat it is for those of us who remember all these wonderful songs, etc. from Saturday morning cartoons. The DVD is well-planned, and the bonus features are great!
