It is a fun family film and you would have to be made of stone not to enjoy it. Jack Black is great. The kids are great. The music is great. It's a good time for people of all ages. Highly entertaining.

I bought this movie for my whole family because its something we can all enjoy together. Jack Black is so funny, and I loved seeing him in a family oriented movie. My kids love him too!

Another of Jack Black's great movies, this one is way fun for everybody. Jack Black is hilarious and the kids are amazing. I seriously listen to the soundtrack all the time. cuz im a dork. a little. If you are looking for a musically artistic comedy, "The School of Rock" will definitely satisfy your movie needs. :)

I just like this movie. Everytime it comes on TV I watch it, so I decided to buy it. Maybe there are scenes I haven't seen.

Bought this because my 12 YO daughter loves it. If you like Jack Black and/or old rock and roll, this movie is for you. Jack Black is at his zaniest (for daughter), and the music is great (for me). It's a family thing.

These days, you've got to appreciate a family-friendly movie that doesn't pander to political correctness or carry out some formulaic, sugary-sweet theme. This one is for the elementary schoolers as well as the parents and hits the sweet spot for us 40-something, former hard rock lovers.
Jack Black gives his funniest performance since High Fidelity and it's not too far from his real-life persona in his own band Tenacious D. Joan Cusack is great as the wound-too-tight principal and the kids give some endearing performances as well. Of course, the viewer needs to suspend some reality but at least it's not an over-the-top, kids-conquer-all type endeavor.
Dig the soundtrack and the title song too!

This movie is fun for the whole family. Parents who were teens in the 80's will love the music and recognize Finn as one of their classmates. A rock star wanna-be who never grew out of the "long-hair rock period". We have 3 kids ages 8-15 and they all enjoyed it. Actually liked the music too, which surprised me a little. Where did all the cool rock bands go?

This movie came in great condition, I received super fast. I enjoyed watching this movies is great for kids but I like it because it it well done and anybody can have a good time watching it. Thanks!

Parents can enjoy the classic rock while kids revel in watching a dream come true as a substitute "teacher" substitutes rock n' roll band practice for reading, writing, and arithmetic. Jack Black does his usual thing; the child actors are entertaining without being annoyingly precocious; and the plot has a message that doesn't revolve around holding adults or authority figures up to ridicule. Instead, everyone has something to learn. And rock n' roll will never die.

Really didn't know much about this movie until we watch it 3weeks ago when we got it in the mail. Watched it and loved it. It was a very enjoyable family movie. We will continue to get our movies on ebay.

my wife and i watched this on a long flight on an airplane because there was nothing else to stare at. we had to rent it to watch it again and there was only one word bleeped out of the real movie that we could detect.

this movie is even funnier if you are a musician, espescially if you are a guitar player.

I had never really heard of Jack Black before, but now i am a big fan due to this movie and a long flight. WATCH IT - AT LEAST ONCE!

I bought this DVD, because my 10 year old twin sons love this movie! They love the AC/DC music in this movie! "It's a long way to the top if you wanna rock and roll"! A very funny movie, and the music is great! Buy it!!

I saw this movie in theatres and it was such a fun movie. I had owned in on video but after I got a dvd player needed it in dvd format. Ebay was one place I knew I could go and get the movie at a reasonable price.
