Scent to Her Grave by India Ink (2006, Hardcover, Large Print)

Persia Vanderbilt moved from Seattle to Gull Harbor, WA after a bad break up with her ex-BF. She is staying with her Aunt Florence who raised her after the death of her mother. Aunt Florence owns a day spa called 'Venus Envy.' Persia works there blending her exotic fragrances to meet the customer's perfume needs. Gull Harbor's beauty queen, Lydia Wang, is foud murdered in 'Venus Envy.' She was not liked because of her nasty attitude toward people. Her boyfriend, Trevor, is the prime suspect, but Persia thinks otherwise. Soon she is tangled up in crime to her neck when who should show up in town but her ex-BF and he wants her back.

Ms. Ink had believable characters with a good strong plot in this 1st book. The story line moved along quickly and it was an enjoyable cozy. Her later books went downhill real fast. This is the only one I can recommend.
