Scent to Her Grave by India Ink (2005, Paperback)

Persia Vanderbilt has come home to Gull Harbor, WA. from Seattle after a nasty break-up with her ex. She moves in with her Aunt Florence who raised her after the death of her mother. Aunt Florence owns a day spa called 'Venus Envy' and Persia thinks this will be the perfect place for her to blend her exotic fragrances to meet the customer's perfume needs. It isn't too long before Gull Harbor's beauty queen, Lydia Wang is foud murdered in 'Venus Envy.' She was not especially liked by many because of her nasty attitude toward people. Lydia's boyfriend, Trevor is accused of the murder, but Persia thinks otherwise. Soon she is tangled up in the crime trying to prove that Trevor is innocent. On top of this, her ex has come to Gull Harbor to win her back.
This first book by Ms.Ink was very good. She had believable characters with a good strong plot and the story line moved along quickly. Her following books after this one went downhill real fast. This is the only one I can recommend for now.
