The Scarpetta Factor by Patricia Cornwell (2009, Hardcover)

I was looking forward to this latest Scarpetta novel as I thought that the author might being getting her touch back. But I found this novel to be slightly disappointing as I feel that her novels have gotten far to dense with meaningless detail and not enough plot.

I have read all of the Scarpeta and Andy Brazil novels and this book is Cornwell at her best. There is a lot of history in this book you really get to know everyone who has been a main stay from the beginning. What I love is that you can read them all or just one and still get all the thrills and chills. The only sad thing is that I am caught up with Cornwell and there is nothing new to read now.

Patricia Cornwell continues with her exciting adventures of Scarpetta! Book is hard to put down! As the saga continues there is excitment with the turning of each page. I found nothing that I didn't like about this latest edition.

Patricia Cornwell again takes us into the world of Kay Scarpetta, and gives us another exciting read. We know the characters by name, but each book tells us a bit more about our old friends, as their lives change and grow. They are all here, Marino, Benton, Lucy, and Kay, ready to do whatever it takes to find answers. Dr. Scarpetta continues to evolve and find new ways to share her expertise, this time as an analyst for CNN. But being in the public eye attracts more than a fair share of unwanted attention, danger and life threatening situations. Cornwell again shows her incredible talent to combine the world of forensics that she knows intimately, with a cast of characters that she continues to breath life into, and give us another chapter in their lives. It is hard to put down, and you want to turn the pages to find out how it all works together, and yet, you don't want the book to end. The plot twists and turns, and takes your breath away again and again.

Read it, savor it, I for one look forward to Kay and friends to live to a ripe old age (please!!!) and being immersed in their world again and again!

Although I have not read this book because it was a gift to my wife. This was one of two (2) books by Patricia Cornwell that my wife didn't have. The price was great, the shipping was quick and delivered on time. A pleasure to deal with a seller who comes through to complete a wonderful sale.
