A colleague of mine had this book. I borrowed this book so often, I was sure it bothered the owner. I WANTED this book and I could not find it in stores.
It helped me to write introductions to clients of my taking over thier accounts; letters to clients with delinquent payments; e-mails to the school regarding my dislike of a new teaching method.
We all know what we want to say; but we don't always know how to say it so that it does not immediately cause tension and anger... creating a new issue to deal with. There is always a way to say something NICELY and get it across so the other party is aware of the situation but not made defensive. This book helps me in those areas!

How To Say ItThis is a book that I have used in the past for a writing class at night school. I passed my original copy to a friend in Poland who is using it to study English. Later I bought another used copy from half.com to sent to another Polish student, who also studies English. I recommend these type books to all students here and abroad. They help to say things without conflict. Used books are a tremendous bargain and many are in new condition.

Good resource book for the price
) I borrowed this book from a friend while writing a resume, and decided it had so much to offer for lists of choice words, that I needed my own copy!
I especially liked the fact that it is in hard cover; as a reference book, that's a must for me. I will be using this book often for different situations. I didn't realize there would be so many uses until I had it in my hands for a good look.
I didn't find anything I didn't like about this book- I heartily recommend it to anyone for any situation!
