The Savage Nation by Michael Savage (2004, Paperback, Reprint)

Michael has it down to a tee in this book. He is so right about how our country has stepped up the rights of illegal transients(my word) to the United States while at the same time our rights have deminished along side those same illegals. Our lack of standing up to the droves of illegals coming into our country has brought us to where we are today with health care costs at an all time high, its simply wrong to grant healthcare to someone who don`t pay any taxes, came here through an open border uninvited, then without regret they take advantage of every benefit that was otherwise meant for taxpayers and residents of our country. Michael Savage may have a gruff exterior that "offends" some people but he is always welcome in my home and through my speakers through his radio show. He don`t hold any punches back when he lists progressively all the damage that has been done to our country from far left liberal whine bags that use our court system to further their agenda of removing all known recognition of God, the bible, morals from our country and our God given rights as humans. Liberals want us to feel guilty about saying something that may offend "non Christians", they want to use the supreme court to remove any and all references to God the Almighty, whom I will add is what our constitution is founded on. I for one don`t want 300 channels of available porno to have to surf through to find a decent channel to watch. Even the advertising for these smut shows on the cable guide is raunchy. Kids shouldn`t have to grow up seeing all this thrown in their face at young ages. God knows there will be plenty of time later for them to find all the porn they will ever desire, because of the lefts "freedom of speech" law that applies only to them. They want the unbridled right to put out there anything that could possibly come out of their filthy minds in the name of freedom of speech, yet a Christian loses that right everyday because they demand "separation of church and state". Michael, keep on preaching what you preach, never let up, you have the podium and WE ARE LISTENING. We all need to stand up to hollywood liberals, washington liberals, and any looney tunes leftist and demand our own freedom of speech back, demand to have our prayers in schools if the student wants to pray, demand to have the 10 commandments didplayed in a courthouse payed for by taxpayer dollars. I could go on and on but I won`t. This book nails it all and I recommend it to anyone that is tired of being "hushed' because they have a christian background or believe that Jesus died on the cross for everyones sins. I bought this book, the first political book by Michael Savage as I am an avid listener to his talk radio program and after listening to his callers, decided to read all of his books, with this one being my first.
This book is very well written, but was disappointed in the lack of the real "meat" of what he was trying to say. I expected alot more in depth thoughts on his reasoning and why he came to his opinions concerning alot of the topics relating to this book. He goes into some, but for me just wasn't enough. I agree with many of his opinions, however, this book was fifth grade reading, at least in my days of fifth grade.
He gives some thought about the people he slams, but just doesn't go into enough fact for me to come up with his opinions about why he feels the way he does about them.
I know he is brilliant and maybe this book was a way to get people to check out more facts about the people and history of civilizations for themselves, which I have done since reading this book.
I read the entire book in about 4 hours and I will be purchasing the remaining books he has written, such as Liberalism Is A Mental Disorder, The Political Zoo and am hoping he gives more of a deeper meaning to his analogies than in this book.
This book in no way will deter me from ever listening to his radio program, but in my opinion, he is alot more wittier there than this book.
