Satan's Cheerleaders - "All for one, and one for all!"
Review created: 06/28/09

This is one of my favorite comedy/horror movies.

These ladies do everything together – so much so they even have a favorite expression “All for one and one for all” - No petty disputes between these ladies, they share everything including deities. Now it is frequently the high school guy’s dream to date a cheerleader, and with these cheerleaders the guys better be on their best behavior since these ladies have friends in high, er, correct that, low places. By now you should have gotten the impression that this film does not have the happily ever after ending, and you would be right – the Australian version of the film poster states “Their prayers were answered by Satan.” These ladies did not start out that way and their journey on how they get there is what this DVD is all about. It is a delightful mix of camp humor and horror that for some it rises to a cult classic status. The film ends with the ladies still in high school, and although no sequels of this film have been made, one could easily envision the sequel: “Satan’s MBAs on Wall Street" – hostile takeovers, toxic assets all being practiced by these Ivy League Lady MBAs; after all, The Devil is in the details of the deal!!!

For strict horror fans, this film may not be quite satisfying but for those that like a mix of comedy and horror, this DVD should be considered. Also, it does have some brief nudity in two scenes. Personally, I give it a thumbs up –excuse me, two of the cheerleaders have taken issue with my thumbs up rating. What is that you say Debbie and Patti, "Up is down and down is up"? Well excuse me while I step aside with Debbie and Patti for what I anticipate might be a heated discussion.
