As with any book by Sarah Ban Breathnach, this book is written in an easy to follow style. It does not lose the reader in the way some Victorian era writing does. It is written in the "now" with marvelous examples of how to incorporate past traditions into the busy lifestyle of the present. It would be a great gift for anyone, and don't forget about yourself, who enjoys truly beautiful things.

I'm a huge victorian fan, and truly love the book. I'm already planning several parties / events based on suggestions from the book. If you enjoy Victorian pictures, the book is filled with them. The author has a charming way of sharing stories. The book sits on my coffee table, and several guests have picked it up and wanted to know where I purchased it. A cup of tea and this book in my lap is my idea of a perfect break from my day.
