Sanyo RL-4920 (Sprint Nextel)

I used to have the sprint 4900, and I loved that phone, but after 4 years, it was time to upgrade. But I didnt make too much of a change. This one is similar, it has the best reception and talk time, I dont think any other sprint phone can beat this one, other than maybe the older one, 4900. Which still is, and always will be my favorite!! The 4900 is excelent, I rate this good, because its a great phone, but I still like my old one better.

This phone has been a trooper! Has much better signal than my wife's Sanyo or my other Motorola V60. The battery life is unbelievable and the phone has never let me down.

I bought these three weeks ago as replacement hardware for my office phones for people who have either lost or damaged their phones so that they could continue to stay up and running without having to buy them brand new hardware due to our contract is coming up for renewal very soon.

My roommate and I have Sprint and we both had to go outside and sit on the roof of his truck to get reception. I bought this phone and now I can walk anywhere in the house w/o loosing signal!! (roommate envy's me now) :D

Purchased Sanyo Rl-4290 Cell Phone (Sprint) from Mobilexl and could not activate phone, I was instructed to send it back to a specified adress and I did. Mobilexl said i never returned phone. After offering proof of sending phone back, Mobilexl told me my replacement phone was shipped,but it never came. After going back and forth with Mobilexl I finally filed a negative report with E-bay and initiated a dispute with Paypal for a full refund. Mobilexl then filed a negative report with E-bay against me saying I never paid for the phone and I have proof with Paypal that I did in fact pay. Mobilexl lied to E-bay and to me, I never did get my phone and because of them I went three weeks without a phone waiting for Mobilexl to fix the problem which they never did. I won the dispute against Mobilexl with paypal and they put my $$$ back into my Paypal account. I would not reccommend doing business with Mobilexl.

This is a great phone. The battery life and standby are superb, and well above most phones available even now. The features are nice. The menu is convenient.
Of course it's older, and is no longer manufactured, but if you just want an inexpensive temporary solution, this is one of your best choices.

I love this phone design. It has a great battery life and it is a durable phone. Great quality. I bought it more than a month ago. I used to have one a couple of years ago, but then I decided to switch to another flip phone design and I regreted it. This Sanyo phone is reliable and it fits my budget. It is inexpensive. It does not have a camera, but it is a dependable phone.

GREAT LITTLE PHONE FOR THE PRICE! EXCELLENT BATTERY LIFE! GREEN KEYPAD, AND NICE SPEAKERPHONE. SANYO IS BY FAR THE BEST CELL PHONE BRAND OUT THERE FOR ALMOST EVERY FEATURE.

This phone rocks. Best sound clarity of any phone anywhere, battery lasts forever, You missing out if you have not heard a cell call sound this good. Ya a bit big but for what you get wow.

The 4920 is still hands down, the best receptive phone Sprint carries. Ready Link capable, excellent speaker, good crisp clear screen. This may be one of the uglier phones campared to the rest of todays "Flip-phone" market, but it still beats them all in performance.

As a Sprint employee I have been able to see a lot of phones and receive a lot of customer feedback. If you don't already know it learn it: Sanyo is the best phone maker for Sprint hands down! This phone is modeled after its larger and older father the Sanyo 4900, which is the highest quality phone Sprint ever sold. This phone adds the option of Ready-Link, and is a bit smaller, though both of these features detracts from the battery life--which was the hallmark of the 4900. Excellent phone for the money, but I say stick with the older and more reliable 4900, unless you really need ready-link.

This is The Tuffest phone I Have Ever ABUSED! I work all over in remodeling and other rough work so now 9 months later after being squished dropped bounced the display is scratched and case is trashed yet it still does all the functions well including the battery time. This phone also pulls down signals great from distant towers and the ringer can be heard just as far!

All I use this for is a phone so the added features are there thats all I can say about them "Off-topic comments".

Now, if you want my complaints "Off-topic comments" they would be the screen is to small,can't see it in daylight the numbers could be better lit,and mabey a textured body so I would keep from dropping it so much.And I am not going to go on about "Off-topic comments"adding a compos.thermometer.flashlight/AM/FM/TV/weather radio,solar charger and I Almost forgot that it really would be great if it were waterproof with a high visability color like orange or yellow.

I love the fact that I was able to replace a lost phone with the exact same unit, at an affordable and inexpensive price. This phone also came with an extra battery, car charger, house charger and clip carrying case. The purchase was simple and the Serial Number on phone purchased was cleared through sprint by me before buying, to be sure I would be able to activate without problems.
This phone is made by Sanyo and has a good reception and is very durable. Never experienced any problems with previous owned unit.

The screen is not clear, not a good vision phone the RL 4900 has a better screen. The phone is nice though. If you're looking for something comparable, maybe go with the other one. It's an older phone, but small and compact.

is one of the best phones i've owned, the signal is very good with almost no drop calls, it should include a camera and be able to use recordings as ringtones like other brands. other than that is very reliable and great battery life...

This phone is an excellent value. The reception and sound quality are very good. It's great for people like my wife who lose or break phones regularly. I can hop on ebay and get another for about $50.

I like the features and reception of this phone. I dislike the size and key size. I wish that is was lighter in weight. I decided to purchase this phone because of the reviews I read. Overall the phone is wonderful with it's many features, some I have yet to use. You will get more than your monies worth by purchasing this phone.

What I like about this phone is that it's the smaller version to the sanyo 4900 that I used to own. Just a bit better. The isn't anything ZI dislike about this phone. For me it's perfect. It's the only non flip phone that I liked. I decided to buy it because my 4900 was getting a bit old and it had too many scratches on it. I felt it was time for a new one, but I wanted something similar to the 4900. I knew that a smaller version to the 4900 came out a few years ago and there hasn'e been anything similar since then so that's the one I wanted. I couldn'd find it anywhere else so ebay was my chose to buy.It it worked out great.

Excellent phone, worked where many others wouldn't. Great user interface.

The only thing I don't like about it is that you have to lock/unlock the phone when you put it in your pocket to avoid making accidental phone calls. But you get a flip-phone (like I just did) if you value this.

Overall I would buy this phone again in a second.

When I received the phone it was just as it was described. It works perfect and there have been no issues. The phone looked brand new and the price was cheaper than for me to have my old beat up phone fixed. Great!!! LOVE IT!!!

I love this phone and I have own maybe 2 of them before. Very dependable and easy to use. It has been outdated by neer techlogy but if you want a phone that you can depend on it is hard to beat. I have sold maybe 8 or 9 4920s to many satified buyers. the best featureto me on this phone is the speaker. Very clear and easy to understand. The features on this phone are easy to use and hard to forget. This phone had technology far above the phones in the past.

I bought a used Sanyo cellphone from this seller for several reasons. I liked the fair price, the very fair shipping price and the advertised condition of the phone.
Another major factor in my decision is that I was very disappointed in the faceless phone reseller I dealt with before this, who send me a totally different phone as an 'upgrade' but did not even have the item I won. I looked for a seller that appeared to be another regular person like me, not an e-store.
I was very happy with the phone and it works perfectly.
