Sanyo PM-8200 (Sprint Nextel)

I have had this phone for approx. six months and so far haved loved it. The service provider is not on my happy list, but I cannot complain about the phone! I have dropped it several times and it still takes quality photos, and the display is colorful. The buttons are well lit, and the displays stay lit for a good amount of time, then shut off to help save battery time. The plastic cover does take and show scratches, though, but the functionability of the phone is good! Good job Sanyo!


Two Years Later....well, I am about a week from my "new phone" from my provider, and this phone still works well except for it keeps beeping on and off charge...even when it is in my pocket. I don't know if it is loose inside or what.
Reception is still good though. I can't complain otherwise!!!

I CANNOT ACTUALLY GIVE A REVIEW ON THIS PRODUCT. HOWEVER, I CAN GIVE SOME ADVICE FOR POTENTIAL USED CELL PHONE BUYERS.
I PURCHASED A SANYO PM-8200. THE AD WAS GREAT. SLIGHTLY USED PHONE, NO SCRTCHES, I JUST CHANGED MY CELL PROVIDER THIS IS WHY I AM GETTING RID OF IT.

THIS ALL SOUNDED GREAT. I WAS BUYING FOR MY DAUGHTER. THIS PURCHASE HAS TURNED INOT A NIGHTMARE. I SPENT OVER $60.00 FOR THE PHONE. WHEN IT ARRIVED IT LOOKED GREAT. EVEN THE FILM WAS STILL ON THE SCREEN MAKING TI LOOK EVEN NEWER. WHEN I WENT TO HAVE IT ACTIVIATED THE PROBLEMS BEGAN. THE PHONE WAS STOLEN !! OR SOMETHING. I PURCHASED A BLUE PHONE ACCORDING TO THE AD. THE PHONE I GOT WAS SILVER. WHEN I WENT TO ACTIVATE I FOUND THAT THE SKU# BAR CODE WAS NOT THE BAR CODE FOR THE PHONE I HAD. IT DID FIT A BLUE SANYO PM-8200.

SO I ENDED UP HAVING TO DEFEND MYSELF AND MY INTEGERITY FOR HAVING A STOLEN PHONE. I MADE MANY ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT THE SELLER AND GOT NO RESPONSE. I ENDED UP FILING A COMPLAINT WITH PAYPAL AND 6 WEEKS LATER I AM STILL FIGHTING THIS OUT WITH THE SELLER AND PAYPAL.

I HOPE I WILL GET A REFUND OF SOME SORT. SO I ENDED UP BUYING A NEW PHONE FROM THE COMPANY AND NOT ONLINE AUCTIONS.

SO BUYER PLEASE BEWARE OF USED CELL PHONES. ASK TONS OF QUESTIONS. GET GOOD COMMUNICATIONS WITH THE SELLER B4 YOU PURCHASE.

I decided to buy the phone for my daughter for her 14th birthday and decided on this particular model because I have the same phone and it has been a very good phone. What do I dis-like about the phone? I bid on the phone which was supposed to be brand new and never opened.... wrong. The phone was in such poor shape that it couldn't even be programmed to work. The buttons stick and the LCD doesn't work. Just a really bad purchase. What do I like or love about the phone? Absolutely nothing. I hate it.
In general, The Sanyo PM-8200 is a very good phone, just not this particular one.

I needed a new cellphone replacement and didn't want to spend $300 I checked on ebay and found just what I was looking for, got what I wanted, and it works great!!!!

Nothing but good to say about this phone. Pictures are acceptable(1.3mp I think) and transfer at an acceptable rate. Features are plenty and web access is quick and easy. For what I paid(about $70), I am very satisfied. Phone definitely recommended!

This is a dependable phone with a lot of features of current phones on the market. This phone gets a strong signal in varied areas and buildings. Hard to pass up for the price today as it was once a 300.00 phone.

As with alot of the 8200 phones the car charging port does not work properly other than that a great phone.

great phone it is not bad either for a camera and for the price. this phone has many options and accessories available most very inexpesive.if you have sprint then know that the sanyo brand gets the best reception with their service.will buy another simalar to this for my next one.

unfortunatley the person i won the phone from never cleared the esn # so i could not activate it. i was really excited to use the phone, but she never returned my emails or cleared her account like she said she would. so now im stuck with a worthless cell phone. if you are thinking of purchasine a cell phone on ebay, make sure the esn# is clear.

This is one of the best wireless phones offered by Sprint and I won it 87% cheaper than going price. The condition is like new. I could not have gotten it at this price if it was not for Ebay.

Perfect phone, Sanyo makes the best products for Sprint! Went back to the 8200 because of its reliability and sturdiness.

This phone is durable. Even around small kids. I have thrown this phone, dropped it everywhere, and still no problems. A few scratches, but it works great. Keeps a good charge too.

Fast shipping, the phone was as described and no problems with the phone after a few weeks, besides a weak battery. Otherwise, it was an excellent transaction and would buy from seller again.

After purchasing many phones, through ebay that is compatible for Sprint, this model phone is one of the best ones that I have purchased. I am very satisified with phone. I do enjoy the ease of the navigation through the menu screen, the large, clear LCD screen, and the mini LCD screen that allows you to see who's calling or any other notifications you might recieve. I do enjoy the fact that even though the phone is a flip-phone model, Sanyo has reinforced the "flip" portion of the phone. I have been through many phones where the first thing to wear out is the "flip".

My son phone was broken it was same phone and i saw on eby and i bought it.one phone's microphone is not working but any way one phone is working good so everything works out good

Was pleasantly surprised by the good state in which the phone was. Should probably put a real pic of the phone next time but it was in very good shape. Shipping was also relatively fast.

If you are looking for a basic phone with a decent camera and IM capability this is the one. It isn't exactly on the cutting edge of phone technology but it isn't far behind.

We bought two and they both work great. The best thing I can say about them is they are dependable. My oldest son has had one for years and to say it is heavily used is an understatement. He uses the phone constantly and sends or recievs about 100 IMs a day. (I don't know how college students do that but they do.)
