Movie Description After the runaway success of their program ALL IN THE FAMILY, the producing team of Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin took a cue from the successful British sitcom STEPTOE AND SON in order to create this smash vehicle for African-American comedian Redd Foxx. SANFORD AND SON details the comedically endless disagreements between Fred Sanford (Foxx), aging junkyard owner, and his 34-year-old son Lamont (Demond Wilson).
