A Terrific Two-fer of John Wayne Jingoism!

Must-have films for anyone who's a John Wayne fan or collector of wartime film classics, both depicting the Duke in his war-mongering greatness, in glorious black & white. In "Sand of Iwo Jima", it's John Wayne versus the Nips, and even some of his own men, as hard-nosed Marine Sgt. Stryker (what a name!) in the months leading up to the invasion of, and inevitable flag-raising at, you guessed it...Iwo Jima. Bang! Boom! Rat-a-tat-tat! In "Flying Tigers", he's in the air gunning down Japs as leader of the American Volunteer Group in pre-Pearl Harbor China. The scene showing the Duke listening to FDR's "Day of Infamy" speech has got to be one of motion pictures' all-time greatest scenes. Tails up! Zoooom! No John Wayne fan could be without these two favorites!
