Yes, this is an affordable mp3 player and it provides a decent sound. Depending on how extensive your music collection is, this player may even hold your entire collection, but if you can afford to pay a bit more, I would recommend purchasing an Ipod or other mp3 player with user-friendly software. My brother has a Sansa, and he has not yet learned how to manage his collection without assistance, and while I don't mind helping out, I find that he has no issues with creating playlists and uploading tracks to the Itunes software. I am sure that an average user with a general knowledge of music programs would have no difficulties with managing music with a Sansa. A few perks? The Sansa can also play radio stations, it has a convenient small size, and its space allowance is adequate for a small collection of tunes.
