Great gift for a girl who like music.

I had recently bought one for my son and thought I would also order one for his friend's birthday. They both love it. IT is simple to use so that young children can work it by themselves. Two can enjoy it together with the dual headphone jacks and external speaker is really nice. Not great sound but very good for what it is.

I have still not been able to download any songs on the Shaker that would play. Sandisk could only tell me, "it is an issue." After reading other reviews on the Sansa Shaker, it seems they experienced the same thing. Since this was a present for my son's kindergarten graduation, he was very disappointed that we can not get it to work with anything other than the songs that come on it. Big disappointment

We absolutely love this little MP3 -- excellent for kids bcs it is sturdy -- don't have to worry about any screens cracking etc. and bigger than an ipod shuffle so less worries about losing it. The other thing the kids love is the speaker and the fact there are two headphone jacks so they can share their tunes with their friends. My kids love it but my sister (who is not a kid anymore) wants one too just for the fact it has a speaker. Definately an A++++++ buy.

The whole thing is great, highly recommend to buy for any users especially its attached speaker is loud and crispy. But i am looking forward that Sansa will make a mp3 shaker with higher capacity SD memory (4 to 8 gb), FM radio, recorder and time set and LCD display. great product

This player is not designed for the really young kids. From the point of view of a 1,2 or 3 year old, the controls are difficult to use and the shake feature has limited appeal. And I certainly wouldn't use the headphones; speaker mode only. I would consider the SweetPea3 MP3 player for kids as an alternate. It has many more features for the young kids, like a large LCD showing the song number, a better shape, parental volume control, rubber coating. The Shaker is probably better for 7 and up.

The Mp3 player is a very nice piece of audio equiptment for kids. The integrated external speaker works great for the kids who hate to wear and use headphones. The player is very durable and easy to use and easily to upgrade with just changing the SD card. The only problems I have experienced with the player is that the battery does not last long when using the external speaker,(but it's only a cheap AAA battery) Secondly the only type of files the player recoginzes are MP3 or WAV files so anything you have RIPED to your computer needs to be converted, but that pretty simple to do.

Overall its a great unit and I will buying another so the kids don't fight over it.

I purchased the SanDisk Sansa Shaker for my daughter. She doesn't like it that much it is hard to download music to it and the beginning we had difficulty understanding the instructions that came with the MP3 Player. We like it because its portable that is about all. We will probably give it to my niece as a gift and I will buy her an IPOD or a ZUNE.

to replace one that was bought earlier and malfuntioned it was a joy to recieve it the child was happy

I am very happy with the Shaker. This is my second one, now my son wants one. I like it mostly because it has a speaker built right in. Im not excited about kids using headphones unless we need silence, they are not always good at regulating volume. They listen to the music with the speaker all the time. It has 2 headphone jacks if needed for a friend.

The shaking to change track is just a gimmick not bad but the kids dont use it. It has a ring to change songs that is more reliable.

It also comes with a clip for hanging off belt loops. It is very user friendly for the kids and for loading new songs onto. Comes with a couple of songs preloaded. The single battery lasts a long time also.

I purchased this mp3 player as a gift for my 5 year old daughter.

1) Easy set-up, simple drag & drop of existing music files to disk.

2) Easy to operate, just twist. Decent sound quality, too.

3) Battery life seems low, though - used 3 aaa batteries in a few days use.

All in all, a fun little device that's intuitive to use. Enjoy.

I bought this mp3 player for my son as a Christmas gift. I had seen them advertised on television but could not find them in any of the store so I bought it on ebay. He loves it. It is one of his favorite things he got for Christmas. There is only one thing that I personally do not like and that is the top comes off easy after you have opened it several times but other than that it is great!

I like the product, but I find it hard to convert already purchased music to the format needed. I feel its as good a quality as the ipod shuffle, except for before mentioned problems.
