Samurai Champloo - Complete Box Set (DVD, 2006)

Alright, hands down one of the coolest anime to date. From the creator of Cowboy Bebop, this series is amazing. Not even getting to the gritty hip-hop soundtrack and the colorful ways the characters interact, this is hands down a must have for any anime collector. You have Jin, the text book proper swordsman who was number one in his class. Perfect poise and execution are his traits. Then you get Mugen who uses a reckless "holds nothing back" style that is both random and precise in his own way. Holding them back from trying to kill each other is Fuu, who is the center of the storyline and there to provide both stability for Jin and Mugen as well as keeping the plot progressing. You see Mugen and Jin destroyed Fuu's restaurant while fighting each other in the first episode and are now in her debt. Following the Samurai code of honoring ones debt, Mugen and Jin have to put their differences aside and help Fuu find her father, the Samurai that smells like sunflowers. Along the way history is made, but you have to watch to find out.

PROS - Simply amazing animation and characters you grow to love. A must own for any collector.

CONS- Not one single bad thing to say about this entire series. Not one.
