Samsung UN40B7000 40 in. HDTV TV

When I bought this specific TV, it was the most up-to-date unit for this size. It fit perfectly into the space I had available, so that determined the size. Thickness was one of the criteria, and the 1.2 inch thickness was exactly what I needed.

Although the Series 8 is now available, I am thoroughly satisfied with the Series 7 unit. I think we will use it for a long time. The incremental improvement of the Series 6 (the first series of the LED TV) above the Series 5 (LCD with backlight) was so noticeable in the picture quality (sharpness) and brightness (and contrast) that purchasing the LED was a no-brainer. I was ready to buy when the Series 7 came out, and I decided to get the Series 7. The incremental improvements of Series 8 over Series 7 and the Series 7 over Series 6 is not as great as the introduction of the LED (Series 6).

If I were to buy a new HDTV today, I would buy the Series 8, but have no regrets whatsoever for getting the Series 7. Samsung LED HDTV's are superb. Had no problem with the installation or setup. Works great!! Highly recommend,

Love this TV, once I saw it I knew there was no other for me.

Everybody has a flat screen now a days, but no other TV looks like this one mounted on the wall. Everyone comments on it when the see it, even when it's off.

My only complaint is that I wish I could have afforded a larger one, because it looks so good. By the way mounted on the wall is the ONLY way to go. Get a professional.
