Samsung Syncmaster™ 940BW 19 inch LCD Monitor

This is my third samsung monitor if you count my first monitor (6 years old CRT syncmaster) Which I still use to this day...

I purchased it for home office use in a fairly lit room with two windows that allow fair amount of sunlight. It does have a 500:1 contrast ratio which was plenty for a 19' screen. The text were sharp which was the reason I purchased this over others. The price is very reasonable for what its worth. Build quality was okay considering it Samsung used to make all their monitors in Korea about 6 years ago...now its China, but still a decent build quality. Onscreen menu control is simple with just enough functions to set the video properties. I did however love the auto image adjust which from a push of a button allowed correction or horizontal and vertical sizing to fit the screen perfectly.
Very light weight and good ergonomics.

Video Gamers: With the 4ms I had no shutter or skips and played fairly smooth at highspeed actions
Plays Dvd in 16:9 format and again flawless in the video flow depart with the 4ms response time.

I give it a 9 out of 10 considering its price. Can't go with samsung!!!

Affordable Price, Great picture quality, Good for anyone who wants to watch movies on their desktop PC and/or play computer games. This monitor has good features such as presets for the brightness, like if you're watching a movie, you can change the setting to "movie" or if your on the internet you can change it to "internet" because the brightness is waay to bright for when trying to read something but when watching a movie, the picture quality is outstanding, this is a great product, and a good purchase.

I love it. It's very easy to hook up and come with the cable to hook up to your computer. The best part of it is the auto-adjustment feature. It auotomatically fixes the display settings to you computer.

I am satisfied with my purchase. Things I like most are Price, Ouality and Delivery Time. Samsung makes quality products, as long as it last a reasonable amount of time I will have nothing negitive to say.

The item proved to be very good, fulfilling my hopes. But the wording by the seller was somewhat 'off-putting' causing me to think this seller might sell me a non working item and then not refund it. I think if something is being represented as working-- and it turns out not to be so-- the seller ought to, morally speaking, be willing to take it back and refund. Also, the shipping charge was excessive, further causing me to suspect the seller. In the end I decided to bid on it, but would not have been disappointed if someone had out bid me. I would not have bid further.

However, it turned out the seller was accurate in his quality description so, asside from paying a few bucks too much for it through excessive shipping, I am satisfied.

Shipping was fast, the monitor had scratches but had been described before hand and I was aware that the scratches where there. Seller was really descriptive and in no way tried to deceive.

Item is just great in every way - works fantastic, easy to set up and use, perfect size. We're very pleased and would highly recommend this monitor to anybody!

Received in great shape and promptly. I am using it as I am typing this. Playing games is a great as I can see on the sides better especially in Unreal Tournament 2004. Fits the bill in every way. Thank you!!

I have to say that this has been one of the best deals I have ever gotten on Ebay, I am very happy with all features on this LCD, this will be one of the 3 I will be purchasing for replacement of my CRT.

Simple but nice looking bezel. Controls are logical and well laid out. For such a large monitor, it does not overtake the desktop because it is slightly less wide than the keyboard (a full size Apple keyboard). Watching movies on this is great, and have used it, with a separate tuner, as a bedroom TV.

This product has been good to me over the past months. It has both a VGA & DVI Input, good screen quality, & i absolutely love the widescreen. This is a great buy for the money you pay.
