Samsung SyncMaster™ 245BW (Black) LCD Monitor

I bought an old monitor from this seller. On the description, the only defect of the screen is a big scratch on the middle of it. However, there are many blur sport, and even dead spots on the screen.

Fast shipping. Fair price. Was labeled as new, but was more of an "open box" item with some visible light marks on it. The monitor works great and the shipping was fast, though. Wasn't an amazing deal or anything since these monitors that are "open box" are going for about what I paid, but I don't think I could have found one in the same condition that sells for less and ships as fast. I would buy from this seller again.

I had been using a 17 inch monitor for the past 10 years and I started to notice that many of the websites I visited were formatted for a wider screen - at least at the setting I was using. It was annoying scrolling left and right to see all the content. If I changed settings to accomodate the width of the site then it was too small for me to enjoy. Once I started looking into larger screens I figured it wasn't enough to upgrade to a 19 or 22 inch screen, I might as well go for something really big. A leading consumer ratings magazine rated the Samsung 245BW as the top rated 24 inch monitor and I have to agree. This is a superb monitor - 24 inches is a BIG monitor and the resolution is OUTSTANDING. I set it up in about 15 minutes. It fit on my desk easily and has height and viewing angle adjustments. With more websites featuring streaming video this is a great upgrade. It does take some getting used to. If I use the full screen mode I need to make the cursor move farther from one icon to another - my mouse gets a workout. One thing I noticed - the large monitor does not make small images larger, but it does make it possible to see all of a large image at once... or at least more of it. I plan to use this monitor for at least 10 years. I did find a great bargain on eBay - under $400 - brand new with full warranty available.

It took a little tweaking, but finally got the display to right frequency and levels for use. Not all that intuitive, so I fumbled a bit. The price was attractive and the Samsung LCD tv's we've been looking at prompted the purchase. A few areas of the screen tend to blur the text slightly, but graphics, jpegs and mpegs really pop. I reccomend going to Samsung's web site and downloading the owners manual (it didn't ship in the box) to maximize the potential of the display. I don't use the pivot function that much, but it works well and would be a boon to someone working on documents all day.

I love this monitor, so much, I ordered another one. The 1920x1200 resolution looks great without being too small to read and gives very useful real-estate to work with.

I was able to use it out of the box since I didn't really had to do anything to configure it or adjust it. Even the horizontal/vertical adjustment was not necessary since the Auto-adjustment worked perfectly.

The brightness is very good on the monitor and it has multiple brightness settings.

hi everyone,
i wanted to go big!! so i did a research on 24" widescreen monitors. i read people reviews on different name brands. took me a while to decide what i wanted, you want your moneys worth.
samsung caught my eye and went for that one.
i've had it for about 2 month now, and let me tell you this boys and girls..
I LOVE IT!! colors are bright, love to watch my movies in HD.
i upgraded my pc, i added an HD VIDEO GRAPHIC WITH 512MB CARD AND I INSTALLED AN DVD HD RAM. I TRULY RECOMMEND THIS MONITOR. THERE'S NO CONS ABOUT IT.
I THINK SAMSUNG OUTDID THEMSELVES, AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT!

The seller failed to ship the item to me. I have 2 other Samsung Monitors and love those. Because the seller defaulted I ended up buying a Dell 24" monitor.

As stated, it is very bright! I run it at about 1/2 brightness. The gloss finish took a bit to get used to, but now it is quite comfy to the eyes. The boundry around the screen is minimal to help cut the size although at 24" diagonal it is a large monitor!
I have it in close quarters in my bedroom, and on occasion I will bump it. No problem because it will go up and down and rotate around a line from my nose perpendicular to the flat screen quite freely. I am very happy with it especially for the great EBAY price that I got!

Samsung is the number one LCD maker in the world and they come will excellent picture quality and realiability. 24" is great for games and movie.
If you need a huge screen, don't miss this one !

Love the LCD monitor but i could have gotten it cheaper from them because i recently saw someone get the same LCD monitor for $340.00 w/shipping =( i offered $350.00 w/free shipping but they told me they had to charge $20.00 for shipping and i agreed because it was cheaper than anybody online and retail and i really wanted that LCD monitor. O well you live and learn.

This monitor is awesome, beautiful colors, great for gaming. The only problem I had was blurry lines which was corrected by using a DVI cable rather than the standard cable.

first impression of this monitor is it is absolutely gorgeous in ascetic appearance. it has a very solid base/stand. easy to use and identify menu options, located on the front lower corner. even the power button is pleasing to the eye.

mine arrived with a dead pixel, Ive heard of this happening with slightly more frequency on this model, still waiting to receive word of an RMA.

all in all, I would HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a very good 24" HD-LCD

This monitor is so clear and the features it has just helps out the picture. Whether you're watching movies or playing games pictures look crisp and clear. I would recommend this monitor to anyone who loves movies and games or even just internet browsing. Got my money's worth. Only problem with this monitor is that it doesn't have HDMI!!
