Samsung SyncMaster 2220WM - GREAT Monitor!

Samsung wins again! Straight out of the box there is nothing to dislike about this monitor. It's stylish, lightweight ( about 11 lbs.), has a small footprint and is VERY bright. Some may want to turn it down a bit but I'm not complaining! It has several brightness settings built in for text, gaming & others. Straight out of the box set-up was a breeze using Windows XP. It's also Windows Vista compatible!
With a 1000:1 contrast ratio, a color depth of over 16 million colors & a 5ms response time, the clarity & response is great! I have played with the color settings...you know how it is with features...but out of the box the only thing you may adjust is the brightness. I don't use it for gaming but I can't see why it would not be just as clear & responsive for that. The built in speakers are great for a monitor, but I could see having a sound system with them for gaming!
Best of all is probably the 3 year warranty!
CONS: None so far! As long as it holds up , and I'm sure it will, It's a winner!

I never received the monitor, and after 1 month I finally had to submit a dispute with Paypal. The seller stopped responding to all of my communications. This is the first time after over 100 purchases I had any problems with any purchase. Things I have learned thru this experience:
1) Don't just look at the Feedback percentage for the seller since it only looks at the last 12 months. Look at past years if you not seeing lots of transactions. My seller had a 100% score, but had bad feedback on 5 of 27 total items sold.
2) Make sure the item you are purchasing has Paypal's Buyer Protection Plan. Hopefully Paypal will agree to a full refund for this product. If not, I lost all my money.

Perfect pixel dept for graphic editing and programming!My self I edit tons of graphics for web page adds on advage 1000 a month!
This screen fits the build for all this work adn am able to work on a few at once with this wide and high screen 1680 x 1050. Can realy seen the pixels well at a full zoom in or zoomed out the graphics show all little defects that need editing yet or programed out. Combind this screen with a GeForce 8600GT and thats all you need for doing the highest graphics editing. SLi 2 of them together and you have a awsome gaming system when you get a brake from all the work. lol I had shopped for a screen for a while befor fianly choosing this SyncMaster 2220WM-Black 22" I was werryed it would not be enough for my work but the size is just perfect and watching movies on it after your done editing them and making them is great. JUST BUY IT! You will not regret it! ~lord_zeep~

I purchased this monitor on a whim when my other one blacked out on me. I was very pleasantly surprised and I can say that I haven't had any problems with it so far. I think the clarity on the monitor is great and the sharpness is excellent. The only thing I don't like about it is that it is so much more wider than it is long. I prefer to have a screen that has a bit more length to it--other than that, it's an excellent monitor!!

I've been stuck at the 19 in. and 20 in. size monitors for a while and have been itching to bump up a step. After securing a good deal on eBay for this 22 in. Samsung, the timing couldn't have felt better. Now I've not been much of a fan of widescreen models, but am now seeing how handy they can be. I typically work off of two PC's, often using one screen as a reference and working on the other. Trying to use one monitor to display all I needed to see wouldn't work before. But this Samsung is perfect for doing side-by-side screens. It's also lighter in weight than my slightly smaller monitors, and has a built-in speaker (which I rarely use - who wants to listen to mono?). The monitor has a sharp picture, requires little adjustments due to a capable "auto adjustment" function, and the power-saving behavior is even remarkable. Wakes out of sleep mode in half of the time others do. It comes with VGA, DVI and S-video inputs. The only reason I wouldn't by this model again, is if I was buying an even larger model. :)

Awesome monitor. Like brand new.Superb monitor. Excellent clarity . Has it own speakers and vga + dvi out.
You'll need to get drivers for the monitor online. Very easily available. Else you might find your monitor going blank every now and then. Once you install the drivers for Syncmaster 2220WM, it will be perfect.

I'm very pleased. The picture is crystal clear on these monitors and also these monitors are pretty reasonably cheap for the size and functions that it comes with. They also have auto adjustment which is a huge plus. I have since purchased about ten of the monitors for my business and I highly recommend the value for what you are buying in the monitor.

Excellent ValueI like the screen size and the color quality along with the great amount of space that it saves on my desk compared to the older style monitor.
I think there could be some improvement with the quality of the speakers in the unit, although they are fairly small to expect to get too great of quality of sound out of them.
I think they unit has a very sleek look with the black shiny case appearance.
Seems to be a fair amount of selections on the monitor itself to be able to adjust the color and quality of the picture.

well this item is very good as far as the picture goes. i actually like it very well. BUT the downfall of this item it should not of even put a set of speakers in it. the only words to describe the built in speakers in this monitor i am not allowed to say, very poor is not even a good description.but back to the picture on the monitor i love it.

Hi....I'm very pleased with this bid.I checked this monitor out before purchase & found it to be rated number one. I feel the price I payed couldn't be beat either. It is very clear, user friendly & fitts perfect. The compactness is much better than the 19" Flat Screen Monitor it replaced.
