I didn't purchase this item fo any conventional use... I wanted to build a novelty portable hardrive by converting an early Nintendo Gameboy complete with graphics and and vintage power and download displays.
The unit itself works great, I haven't encountered any problems with it other than my own tinkering with it..

) As my title implies, this is a very good hard drive as are most Samsung products.
This drive will sit inside a FireWire enclosure and provide back up for a college bound student and her laptop.
I bought this product for its price and the knowledge that I can be confident of its quality.
