First off, the Samsung Instinct commercials fainally got to me and I had to buy one. Had it just about a month now and by far it's the best phone I have ever owned. Basically it's everything electronic in your pocket.

1. The navigation on the phone cannot be beat. The database is always updated and it works with your contacts in your phone. As long as you have their address stored w/the contact information you can easily use the address to navigate to. It also will search your current area for different places such as gas stations by price or wi-fi hot spots, also food.

2. Getting on the internet is a breeze and it will display the pages in mobile or standard computer mode complete with pictures. The only drawback about the internet on the phone is that it's rather slow.

3. The camera in the is nice and really easy to use. From the main display screen you can assign your pictures to contact names, email pictures, upload them to your Sprint picture account or play them back in full screen on the phone. There is no flash but the photo taking screen will let you know if the picture will be fuzzy due to lack of light. Haven't played with it a lot but the video camera seems to do a fine job also, although it is not able to zoom.

4. The Instinct probably has the best caculator functions out there. Not only can you do basic caculations, the phone provides the easiest way to do conversations that you will ever encounter. Just a few taps and you can convert tempatures, distant, area, weights, tip caculations and a mess of other conversions!

5. Retriving voicemail & text messages is a breeze. For voice message you can listen to them, save them or delete them all from one screen on the phone without needing to wait for the "voicemail manager lady" to say "press 7 to delete." New text or voice messages show up with a little blue star at the top of the display letting you know that you have a message.

6. Entering text into a message or for the cool note pad feature shows as a standard layout keyboard so all of the letters and keys are in their regular place. No more pushing the number "2" three times to get the letter "C".

7. The phone has Blue Tooth capability but I have not had much luck trying to use it yet. Although I am new to trying to understand Blue Tooth communication between devices, (not with the ear piece).

8. The touch screen takes a little getting use to. Just remember to turn down the sensitivity from the default setting when you get the phone. It's way to sensitive right out of the box. Samsung should have included some screen covers to protect the main screen.

9. I upgraded from the Sprint M520 and the Instinct's TV and movie's lacks when it comes to showing a nice clear realtime video. Hopefully Samsung will upgrade something on the phone to improve the video quality.

10. On the other hand, the radio plays just like you would expect. No problems what's so ever! Nice!!

Overall, a really good Smart Phone! Not one that you want to pass by for something cheaper. Yes, the Samsung Instinct has room for improvement but if they got it exactly right the first time, where could they go next? I'll hold-on to this one for the minor updates because it'll probably be a long time before someone can come out with something better!
