| Product Description A phone you can dance to, the Samsung UpStage is so unique, you have to see it (and hear it) to believe it. On one side, it's a slim, stylish Samsung phone with Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Technology and a 1.3 mega pixel camera. On the other side, it's a slim, stylish Samsung music player with touch-sensitive media controls and a stereo speaker. Either way, it's a phone you'll flip over.

This was sent to me through the insurance company since my old one broke so I was forced to give it a try. Pros: Since the phone has 2 sides it definitely takes some getting used to. I love Samsung phones since they are always very easy to hear and it is super light. The slim design is awesome since it fits into your pocket easily and you almost forget it's there. It is unique as you type, text, and look at the initial calls on the little screen, but when you want to see the rest of the text, then you hit the little Flip button and then you flip over the phone to the larger screen. The other side is a larger screen and that uses a touch screen. It is easy to scroll through all of the messages that you have and it is much larger so you can read it all at once. The mp3 player is also very cool and I think you can have about 12 songs on it. You just download them from your computer and it is really easy, so that is pretty cool. Another very cool feature is the case. It is a slim case that you actually plug the phone into...and it has ANOTHER battery! The phone itself will show it charging with the case. The case is really handy since Samsung keeps changing their chargers so you have to buy a new one with every phone. :( Cons: The main con to this phone is the constant flipping. You have to keep flipping it over to either see the screen, or if you forget which side you last used, you have to flip it over to see it. The second Con is the touch screen. It is ok at first, but it is very sensitive and there is only a little place that you can scroll up and down before you hit the Cancel option. For example: if you are trying to delete past text messages one by one, you have to scroll up one by one and click on each one. But let's say that you have already checked 50 to delete, and then your finger slips and accidently goes over the cancel button....GONE! You lose them all. I now have to do it by 5's to make sure that I don't lose them again and again. It takes a little getting used to, but more often than not it is pretty frustrating. Summary: All in all, it is a good phone. I'm a little nervous about getting the screen scratched since it is so large, but so far so good! The touch pad will take some getting used to, and also the flipping back and forth. I even ended up talking on the wrong side once. ;) It's popular when people see it, it's slim and slick, and you can hear people really well. Check it out, and if this helps then definitely let me know! Thanks for reading and enjoy your phone!! Review ID: 10000000004767879 Was this review helpful? Has all the features you could want out of a portable device. Aside from the obvious phone aspect, the large screen on the back side gives you adequate visual readiness for the various internet, TV, MP3 features that Sprint has available for you. You will never be bored with this phone! Review ID: 10000000003793246 Was this review helpful? Report this review Review created: 04/29/07 by: 4 of 6 people found this review helpful. One of the more unique phones out this year. A phone with a different function on each side. On one side of the phone is the main screen navigator. On the other side is a mp3 player that will probably get some time to get used to. It's definitely creative and nice to have a mp3 player and phone in one, but it's not the best phone if you're more business orientated. But if you're just looking for a new and unique phone to have, then I would recommend this phone for those of the younger generation. Review ID: 10000000003446515 Was this review helpful? This phone often freezes up on me, meaning when I try to make a call the keys will not work at all like internet explorer freezing on you.(annoying) When I try and make a call the "voice command" somehow comes on frequently.(annoying) In order to prevent yourself from accidently calling across the world you have to lock the keys. When doing so you almost everytime hit the "flip" button which causes the phone to change to the MP3 side.(annoying) The keys are tiny. I have actually had NO problem w/ the MP3 side. My music plays smoothly and it also has a built in speaker. Overall If I knew all of this I would have kept my Samsung Blade! Review ID: 10000000004243846 Was this review helpful?
