Samsung SL420 10.2 Megapixel

There are many things that i love about this camera. One feature I love is the 5x optical zoom that lets you get up close and personal from long distances. Another plus is the picture quality. Its 10.2 MP is definitely apparent in the photos unlike many other 10MP cameras. The video quality is actually pretty decent and very user friendly. The screen is also very good quality and gives you a great preview of your picture.

The drawback that I noticed was, although there are some good ones, the lack of scene modes. I tried to take a few pictures in a dim lit room and couldnt find a setting that i liked. I also tried to capture a picture of running water and it wasnt as clear as I wanted it to be. I was able to capture a picture of a flame and it was beautiful.

Overall this is a very fun camera that takes great pictures at a great price. It is built with good quality (not plastic garbage) and Samsung is a great company.

The reviews on this camera were awesome, and they were right. The picture quality is high for a camera that is under $200, and it is slim and lightweight. The battery life is long (300 + pictures, several minutes of video and I've only had to recharge once), and it comes with attachments to connect to your computer via USB (and it will charge this way) or plug the USB into a wall charger. It has a great feature that will automatically take 5-10 pix a few seconds apart with one press of the button which is good for getting my quick moving/changing 3 year old caught with at least one good shot. I got the black which is boring but cheap, and I highly recommend getting a semi-hard case for it since it doesn't look like it would take getting splashed very well. If you can find it for under $120, buy this camera!
