Bad Unit

I received the DVR in original packaging. Look in good condition but I am unable to get it to connect to my Direct TV even after 1 hour on the phone with technical support. We tested the signal which I get in the 90's byt the unit can not find the satellite.

Tivo Samsung SIR-S4080
) This tivo replaced my failing 4040 model and its great plenty of storage works just like the smaller one except this one is in good shape. Regular DVR machines don't compare to TIVO. I could have got a dvr replacement for free and said no thanks I'll buy another TIVO

I love the fact that it is TiVo.
The DirecTV DVR system is very clunky and does not have the features we like.
Our original unit died (Phone service quit during a TiVo upgrade and hosed the OS)
We are getting this unit to do a hard drive clone and keep as a spare until we decide to get a HD DVR and Flat Panel Monitor.
It has served us well and although it needs to be tethered to a phone line and is not net workable unless I choose to hack it (and then looses it's settings when upgraded) we have been very happy with how easy it is to use and program.
