in addition to all the fancy features mentioned in other reviews, I like this phone because it is the most reliable phone I've ever used.
first of all, i live in an area with weak signal, so i've always had to stand next to the window for good reception. but with this phone, i can walk anywhere in the house and still gets good signals.
second, i've used this phone for about 3 weeks now, not a single dropped call yet.
thirdly, i've already dropped my phone 3 times unto either tile or wood floors while talking, it still works great.
All the other features are awesome also, and it's so slim that it fits in the same pocket as my wallet. I couldn't be any happier.

I wanted a phone that was small and wouldn't accidently dial numbers. I really don't like the flip-phones and wanted something that had more functions than just a basic phone. I absolutely love the slider feature of this phone! It hides the dial pad but is still functional without ever having to slide it open. It has an automatic key lock feature that will prevent any buttons from accidently being pushed as well.
Some of the main features of this phone that sold me were its capability to play .mp3s, its ability to take decent pictures, and the overall design of the phone. The music can be played with or without earbuds as the speakerphone is loud enough to hear in a quiet environment. You can slip in a memory card that houses all your favorite music and pictures. Another feature I really like is the capability to set each contact with its own ringtone and picture. It's so easy to customize your contacts and make your phone specifically designed for you.
The battery life is pretty good as long as you don't play music or games all the time, which is pretty typical for most phones. The screen size is large enough to view everything with ease and the backlight is bright enough to see it outside. The buttons are easy to push and the phone feels like it has a solid build without being heavy or cumbersome.
I've had this phone for almost a year and I don't plan on giving it up!

I was looking to purchase a Bluetooth-capable phone, and did some research on CNET and the Samsung website. I had a Samsung phone and was quite happy with it, but it wasn't Bluetooth enabled. This phone is sleek, easy to program, has a good-sized LCD screen, and a 1.3 mega pixel camera/camcorder. It actually has more features than I would need, but I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

I love this phone, it's the best one I've owned in a long time. It's really cute and I live the slider funtion. The only negative is with this phone and other Samsung phones I've owned, the ringer only goes to a 5. Not very loud, at least not for me. Other than that, it's well worth the price.

Love the sleek design and easy with which the keypad is accessed by smoothly sliding it up even with only one hand.

I have always used Motorola or Nokia. This is my first Samsung and first slider phone. I have had it for a full week now and have been playing with it enough to write a review (in my opinion).
Pro's
* Loud speakerphone
* Loud earpiece
* Bright display
* Ease of use
* Alarm - can repeat for everyday, everyday except weekends, or once (I love this feature)
* Expandable memory
* Camera is pretty decent for what it is
* Sleek design
Con's
* No option for vibe & ring
* Fragile - I bought a plastic cover and an LCD protective sticker, so this took care of that problem
* Organizer - not very user friendly. It took me a while to figure out how to set a reminder for something on a certain day.
Of course the con's are only my personal feelings, so someone else might not find them that annoying.
It's not the greatest phone out there, but it works for me. It's also not the kind of phone for people always dropping their phones. It scratches quite easily. Overall, this phone is good. This seller auctioned off a Samsung SGH T629 slider cell phone. Everything was picture perfect in the beginning the auction went smooth I won and paid the lady, well once payment was received all communications was over. I emailed her for a confirmation of the shipment of the phone and the tracking number and her reply was "I cant find it I lost it" the transaction took place Sep. 20 and here it is Oct 5 and still no phone, no tracking number no emails returned and oh I get a negative feedback for being and ANNOYING BUYER, well when you pay 115.00 for something would you be annoying trying to find out where you merchandise your purchased was at.
Buyers beware of this seller, Im not the only one she has done this to, but unfortunately she wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt, well im not that patient sorry.

They improved this phone from its previous version, where the sliding open is very difficult before. Now it is extremely easy and firm! Looks great, and very nice signal reception even in the mid of downtown (tall buildings).

This Samsung T-629 is very stylish looking and a pleasure to use also.

I've had this phone since November 2006. I am please to say that this phone is excellent. It is small, but comes loaded with many features such as Bluetooth, 1.3 MP Camera (with several photo options to play around with), MP3 player & more. Although this is an excellent phones, it has its downsides as well. For example, the screen stays lit when charging (although, I've found a way to work around this by leaving the web browser open while charging. After a few minutes, the screen will turn off). Another problem is the lack of volume on the speakerphone. It is hard to hear in noisy conditions. The last downside to my knowledge is the fact that ringtones can only be 30 seconds long, otherwise, it cannot be applied as a ringtone. Other than the few downsides, this phone is the best one I have ever had.

I love this phone. Voice dial is so great! I would like to know how to unlock it cause I use Cingular when I am in certain area that Tmobile dont work, that way I could use the same phone with two cards. Other wise it is the best phone I have owned so far.

I LOVE this phone, it has a lot of capabilities. It has great sound and service spectacular display and good graphics. The games are fun, it comes with a memory card slot and is bluetooth ready! it has a nice sleek design that is easy to hold and the buttons are easy to press, nice and soft.screen locks automatically until you slide it open, very convienient feature. excellent quality camera. fantastic phone highly recommended :-)

I LOVE MY PHONE, I NEEDED A UPDATED PHONE AND WHEN I PURCHASED THIS ONE, IT WAS SO, SO PERFECT TO MY LIKEN. THIS CELL PHONE HAD ALL THE NECESSARY FEATURES THAT I ALWAYS WANTED IN A PHONE. I needed a new phone for a family member and this brand new phone on ebay cost me $98 less than if I would have bought it at the T-Mobile store. It is amazing because so cheap and just what I wanted, a new contract for a new family member's phone. The individual loves it and every feature of T-Mobile's latest phone and fits all the needs. Nothing to dislike, it is perfect in every way.

The phone is by far the coolest phone I have ever purchased, and it had TONS of features. It has amazing clarity and was just the right size. What I didn't like about it though was how easily the screen is subject to damage because of the size. A friend of mine has the same one and she dropped hers from about 2 feet above ground level and the screen cracked in half! She had to purchase a new phone. Other than that one thing, it was great.

I love this phone, it's stylish, sleek and modern. I love that you can put in an SD card and have extra memory. It has 4 fun and addictive games. I love the voice commannd system.
Battery life on it is not as long as I would like it to be but hey no one is perfect.
Also, it has a built in automatic lock that you can't take of. So the second you slide the top down it locks the keys. SO that sucks a little.
Overall awesome phone. I love it

i think this phone works great i only used it for like 2 months and i love it but i have a different phone now so i will no longer be needing this phone i never dropped it and it works great almost in every location i have been in. my work has no windows and when i used my old phone it had no service but with this phone i had great service throughout my work it is a great phone!!!!!!!
