Samsung SGH T509 (T-Mobile)

Pros:
BEAUTIFUL, THIN phone
as well as nearly everything else

Cons:
I wish the volume for the text messages was louder
I wish I could save voice notes as ring tones.

So, I have gone through alot of phones, mostly just trying them out and seeing what each one does (since I have t-mobile I can do this quite easily) and because I just love phones in general. I bought this one because I hadn't had a candy bar shaped phone in a while and I wanted something more simple than the one I had, yet still did everything that I needed it to do. The pictures for this phone simply do not do it justice. When I was looking at it on the net, all of the pictures of it and all of the videos of it just made it look like a boring average everyday phone. But when I got this, and I held it in my hand, there was a definite wow factor! I mean it is quite thin, and well laid out and honestly just a beautiful little phone. The screen is crystal clear and the buttons are easy to push, far easier than a lot of phones that I have tried. The navigation buttons are perfect, though the center button and the back button are a little small, it is very easy to handle. Pictures come out nicely and the sound on this phone is wonderful. I can hear people pretty clearly and I have had no complaints about others being able to hear me. The speaker phone feature also works fantastically and is nice and loud. You still cant walk too far away from the phone like you can with say, the Blackberry or the LG Voyager (my mother's phone, she uses speaker phone all the time on that thing), but it is enough. My only issue when I got this phone (it was unlocked and not registered with any specific service) was that I could not send or receive media messages (texts worked fine). It would give me an error message reading "unknown subscriber". I called t-mobile to get this fixed (t-mobile's customer service has always been top notch in my experience, always pleasant, always helpful, and they always resolve the issue fairly quickly). I went through the entire trouble shooting system thing, and was transfered over to tech support. There is where they figured out the problem. It was that my 'internet' on my phone wasn't set up for t-mobile (to access t-zones). So once they sent through what I guess could be a patch (it showed up like a text message and all you had to do was press save a few times) and then a patch for the media messaging was sent trough as well (same process) which fixed it all right away. So once that was fixed, I was as happy as could be with this fabulous phone!

A friend of mine had this phone and I thought it was really neat! She really likes hers and I used it and she showed me what all it had so this is why I wanted to buy one.I love everything about this phone, its size, shape, color, voice, camera, etc. There is not one thing I dislike about this phone!
