Samsung SGH Gravity SGH-T459 (T-Mobile)

So far I like it, the call quality seems very good. The Samsung menus are very user friendly. I bought this phone because it has a slide out full QWERTY keyboard and that made it easy for me to text. It seems that’s the way everyone wants to communicate these days.

Phone kept on crashing for no reason. Samsung made a cheap product that cannot even take on more than 20 photos. They told me to delete all of my photos and songs and then reset the phone. I cannot believe that this phone costs so much and yet cannot even hold more than 20 photos and a few songs without crashing! I had a RAZR that had over 100 photos and songs and never had an issue ever. Also, phone is lacking in features. So much money for so little. Keyboard is only cool thing. Wish I had something else.

There are few affordable phones out there with a keyboard that folks are so gag-ga over this phone some shortcomings are overlooked. I'm a dedicated Samsung user so of course I got this phone as soon as it was available, and I like it well enough just because it is a Samsung. There are issues with the battery life, and I was disappointed with the small amount of built in memory. I was also disappointed that I was unable to download a couple games from my old phone to this phone. Customer Care said the Gravity is not sophisticated enough to run the (simple) games - what?!? Its a new phone, a more expensive phone, and presumably would have "more" to offer. I was expecting bigger and better, not its "unsophisticated". Oh well.

I love this phone. It is so easy to set up and the QWERTY keyboard is great! I'm so glad I bought this phone.

Bought this for my grand-daughter for her 13th birthday. Needless to say I am her fav. grama. The keyboard was very roomy and had a ton of extra features.

This phone is great. I love the size of it and the capability to text. Texting is made easy with the QWERTY keyboard. It is bluetooth compatible so this makes it easy to use while driving. Would highly recommend it.

I like the phone - it's easy enough for me to figure out - has the full keyboard and I can actually HEAR on it!

QWERTY keyboard is what makes this phone great. Like their LCD TVs, Samsung makes a quality product. Quick slide and you are texting away. Popped in my T-mobile sims card and was connected with the network with no problems. Yeah, I could have gotten a $49 deal at the T-mobile website, but they want an additional $20 activation fee, sales tax and a 2 year contract. Would rather stay month-month and be able to port my number to another carrier rather than being locked into a contract. Unlock code was somewhat easy to get if I need to switch carriers in the future.

In the past, I've had the basic phone: inexpensive, plain number pad, etc. I bought the Samsung Gravity because texting as much as I do (a couple thousand texts a month) takes forever on those plain and inexpensive phones. Although the Gravity may be a little more expensive, it does not compare to those phones that are 300 or 400 dollars brand new!! If you have a few more dollars to spend, I highly recommend this phone. The slide-up QWERTY keyboard is very efficient for texting, as well as e-mail and several different instant messengers on the phone. It's also very lightweight without being too fragile, so it will last a very long time! This phone is great for those who are avid texters, but would be very unnecessary if you're looking to buy a phone solely for calls!

This is an awsome phone for texting. I love how the full qwerty keyboard slide out from the phone so that it's not bulky like the Blackberry. It also has a numberic keypad on the front of the phone so that you don't have to flip it open like the Sidekick just to dial. The big complaint that I have is that you can't change the ringtones for Text messages to MP3s. You can change the tones for phone calls, but for text, you're limited to the tones that come with the phone.

Right away I was impressed with the Samsung phone. It was packaged well so there was no damage. There was also a blue tooth with it that I was not expecting. I am very pleased with this phone and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good phone. It is a perfect phone for texting. Kudos to the seller for providing an exact description and for a great phone.

This phone is a great slider key bord phone, It has cool options and makes text messege a snap, if you text like crazy this is the phone for you trust me my wife does and she loves it.

very simple phone. I do like it, but not as well as other sliders. It is heavy and doesn't fit in pockets well. Better phone for the younger crowd. I am big texter and this phone is great for that especially, but I am so use to T9 that I find myself taking more time with the full keyboard. The bars on the battery are confusing also. They start at 5 and go down to one bar quickly: yet stays on it forever, so your not sure how much time you actually have. I have had the phone now for two weeks and am debating on going back to a slider that is more suited for me. Otherwise, pretty decent phone.

Nice phone, had it for two weeks works great, key board is nice for handling for tex and the only problem is that is always goes into lock then I have to unlock it. But outside of that it is great.

This was a perfect birthday gift for my daughter without extending her contract for another two years. Thanks for quick shipping and all.

when i bought it all i really wanted other than what i already had on my old phone was the full keyboard and i go just that. the only things i am disappointed in is that the phone will not let u put any text message tone on other than the one it already has! which really stinks! it also has to have images and ringtones that u want to use on the phone rather than just on the sd card. It also will not use pictures that i took on my other cell phone! those are the only down fall to the phone! other than that i love it!

I just bought it for my sister as a gift and she loves it, might get another for me as well. I would definately reccomend this phone to someone who likes to text.

The Samsung Gravity is awesome. Its compact with all the features and flips out to a qwerty keyboard. Awesome, camera, video, music, just works like a charm and complete with many features.

I like how I can text easier with it. No more punching numbers just to get the letter I want and skipping over the desired letter half the time.
