this phone is good and solid. great for people who dont care so much about limited bluetooth and camera abilities lower resolution and less colors than most screens.

GOOD for if you need a replacement phone for your tmobile account without extending or renewing your contract. just pop in the sim, and charge for 12 hours and your g2g.

I bought the Katalyst on Ebay as a replacement for my nasty Motorola. My only requirements were for a Samsung (I have never been let down by Samsung) and a camera phone. My initial impressions of the phone were all positive, the display is clear and the setup is so intuitive that you hardly require the manual. The 1.3 Mpixel camera takes acceptable outdoor pictures (a led flash would make it better).
Until I bought he phone I did not realize that it was also wifi compatible. This could be a deal maker for anyone with a weak indoor signalas it enables you to connect via your high speed internet. My only critisism is that I suspect that T Mobile have made it difficult to connect to your existing router in order to sell their own router. The only way their customer support people could resolve the issue was to leave my wifi router wide open. Eventually I was able to cofigure the security settings to enable the Katalyst to connect. It does seem a little ironic that I use my network but T Mobile want to charge $9.99 a month to allow me free minutes. However the numbers would work for a heavy home user who could potentially save upto $50 a month.
I also purchased a USB cable and Samsung Studio 3 software in order to download video and pictures directly to my PC thus avoiding extra messaging bills. The phone will also function as an MP3 player but I will probably never use this feature as I would rather use a device specifically designed for the purpose.
All in all I am happy with this phone bearing in mind my limited requirements of making a call, taking a call and ignoring a call.

Easy to use and small size make it a great 'phone. The slide action keeps the keyboard secure and the screen is a good size with great colours and definition. All round excellent 'phone with superb range of features at a great price.

This phone is great!!! The phone was just as described. I didn't have to sign a contract when I bought it. It was shipped extremely fast. The phone is exactly what we were looking for. We did not want to buy from T-Mobile because I did not want to extend our contract at this point in time. Thanks Ebay and all the great sellers!!!!!!!!!!!!! This phone is small but has big features it has my favorite five an it is a good phone to tote around with so many feature for its small frame its a great way to have a small phone to carry with you to do a lot everyone should have one thank you samsung Lisa

This is the second of these I bought. The first got chewed up by my puppy. I bought it again because of the durability and ease of use. The camera is really crude though, so don't buy if you want to take quality pics with your phone.

I love the slide feature and how strategic the buttons are places. And because I am a bit of a klutz I drop this phone all the time and have had NO problems. I once even dropped in water and it was fine. It holds a charge for a ridiculously long time too (2-3 days). It has blue tooth and speaker phone, but I have only use the latter.

It isn't fancy, but it isn't embarrassingly simple looking either. I recommend for anyone who wants a no frills, durable and "cute" phone.

I bought this phone because I used to have the Samsung t629 and I absolutely loved that phone and I know that this phone is a step before the t629 but who cares. I LOVE THIS PHONE! I went out and bought a $400 PDA and used that for three years but the time came where I just wanted a simple phone and this phone has everything anyone could ever want in a phone.

This phone has great picture and audio setup! It is really light weight and easy to use. The phone does not have a computer hook up bay or a SD memory card slot. It does get great reception where other phones cutout and loose signals.

Everyone I talk to asks me to call them from a landline phone due to the horrible constant static and reception. When I mention reception it is definately due to the phone ... no matter where I am located in the world it has constant static and poor reception. The reception is absolutey horrible along with all the dropped calls (my service is T-mobile). The screen color is average, but the size of the screeen is nice. I stayed with it for one year because it was free now I am moving onto another phone. Hope this helps, God Bless

I bought the NewPhone three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a 1M-pixel camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The NewPhone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. My only complaint is that the menu system on the phone makes you click four times before you can find someone in the address book, set an alarm, or perform a additional functions. Other phones I've owned have simpler menus and get you to important features easily. Overall, I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget.

I had the 629 and it broke. This one is the replacement and so far works pretty well. Seems like the battery is a little weak, but other than that no complaints.

Phone is really easy to you and works well. Purchased this for my parents and they were really satisfied with the easy menu and usage of the phone. Basic functions and not too many options to get lost in. The only annoying thing would be the slide part. When trying to slide the phone upwards you accidently press other buttons during this action which can cause unintended calls or dials. But overall this phone was easy and one of the best phones for tmobile.

Phone was in good condition. It has a few scratches, but she did list it as used. It continues to work fine about a month later. She shipped it pretty quick and I am completely satisfied.

this phone does not working is not working correctly. most time have no singnal. I check with T-mobile, they told me that, the probelm is the pone,. I send the phone back to the seller to take back to the store for exchange.
