The SGH T219 is a good basic phone. Anybody that has used a cell phone will have no problems in understanding how to use all of the features.
I purchased this phone for two reasons, first I didn't want to be locked into a service contract by accepting a free phone from T-Mobile. Nothing against T-Mobile, their service is great and I have been with them for 3+ years. I just like to be abel to walk away if I decide to do so.
The second reason was I wanted a good basic clam shell phone to eliminate pocket dialing.
I have now had this phone for a month and find that the reception is good, the volume is loud and clear and the display is easy to read.
So once again if you are looking for a good basic phone without a camera, radio or whatever try this model.

I like this phone because to me it appears that since this phone does not have that many features samsung decided to invest quality and craftmanship into this phone instead. If you like red (which I do)you will love this phone. The metallic red finish inside and out looks incredible and I have turned more than one head with this phone in the short week I've had it. The phone feels strong and durable when you hold it and there is little to no wobble or wiggle between the top and bottom of this flip phone when it is open. What it lacks in cameras and mp3 players it makes up for in organizational features such as a world clock, tip calculator and stop watch. I LOVE this phone and I have owned them all. RAZR, KRZR, ROKR, Samsung t509, Samsung T619, the Nokia 6103 and 5300. I would take this phone over them all except the KRZR as far as pure phone quality goes. My ONLY small complaint is the speaker is a bit weak and can crack a bit at high volume. If you don't need brains and you like beauty this is your phone.

This phone is light weight with great feauters!! It has the ability of Instent messaging, text, hands free function and it looks great. With the fav 5 feature, keep those you care about on the main LCD.

A great little cell phone for people who want the basics. The T219 has all most casual users will need; speakerphone, ease of use. I bought this phone for my elderly parents who seldom turn it on unless they are lost, unsure of an exact address, or have a specific question they need to ask. For them, there are just the right amount of options; not too many to confuse them and not to few as to be useless.
I carry a KRZR K1 but then I like tinkering with the gadgets. The T219 for beginners or people just wanting the basic is the way to go... and they are turning up very reasonably priced.

If you're in the market for a phone that's just a phone the Samsung t219 is just that. I got it to replace my pair of aging r225M's because it was cheap (just under 30 bucks), and it was the cool "flip" type. The hands-free earbud/mic (to me, anyway) is next to useless, though...too much bass for me to understand the person talking. But I wasn't about to spend $110-120 at the T-mobile kiosk for a new one. Glad I didn't, too. It's worth the 30 bucks I spent on it. Battery life is typical of Samsungs. I can go days (if I don't talk too much) without losing too much charge. If you're poor like me, then this will be all the phone you'll need.

I purchased the samsug t-209 for my husband. He had picked out the type of phone he wanted in the store. It is a great phone with alot of extras. The only thing negative I have to say about the phone is it doesn't have very many ringtones to choose from. On the bright side it does its job and gets great reception where our other phones never did.

I needed a phone quickly and this is exactly what they said it was. I wish I would of read it better because I assumed it came with a charger and it didn't and the battery was dead. But overall it is a decent phone.

I HAD THE SAME PHONE BEFORE AND ACCIDENTALLY DROPPED IT INTO A SINK OF WATER. ALTHOUGH IT STILL WORKED IT KEPT CUTTING OFF CALLS. I DID NOT WANT TO SPEND A LOT A MONEY REPLACING IT. BUYING FROM EBAY I GOT A GREAT DEAL AND A 2 YEAR WARRANTY FOR $12 MUCH LESS THAN THE $4 A MONTH THE CELL PHONE COMPANY CHARGES FOR A WARRANTY. PLUS THE SELLER HAD A GREAT RATING AND I TRUSTED THAT I WOULD RECEIVE MY PHONE WHICH I DID VERY QUICKLY!

This was an upgrade my wife got me. I've never wanted a cellphone but they have their uses. This is so small and light, I can carry it in my pocket and forget it's there. It will entice me to use it more. My hearing is poor but this phone has enough volume that I can hear it and is a vast improvement over my previous phone. Very sophisticated for a basic phone and does all I could ask. Love the red color.

I like that it was reasonably priced. I like the color. It is light weight and easy to work. I wish it had a camera. Overall, very good phone. I even dropped in hard on the cement by accident and it never got a scratch and nothing is wrong with the phone.

I liked that it does not have a camera, due to security issues at work, camera's are prohibitive. It also had a lound ringer and good display of information.
I dislike that it will not connect to a computer for usb transfer of data like motorola can. Battery talk time also seem limited.

I bought it for my dad.I like the color.I dont like it when I use it for text messaging.Maybe because its a prepaid phone,and even I have a Tmobile simcard,it doesnt allow to text straight or I need to resend the text message before it went through.I bought it because its cheap,but its alright,I think.
