This phone has good reception and many features that make it very desirable for the consumer. We have two in our family. The camera is a handy feature to have if you want to snap a picture but are without your digital. You do need additional software and cords, at additional cost, if you want to print the pictures that you take with it.
One problem with the phone that can be annoying is the fact that the screen blanks out and the phone must be reset often. When this happens you cannot access any saved information, see who is calling on the caller ID, use any of the phones features, or see the numbers on the screen that you are dialing. The troubleshooter in the manual discusses the glitch and tells you to power the phone off and back on or to remove the battery for a few minutes to reset it and correct the problem. Well, sometimes that works, sometimes that doesn't. This is a problem that we have with both phones that we own so I don't believe that it is isolated. And could be the reason the phone has been discontinued.
I have since found out that a cell phone repair shop can fix this problem for us for $95 per phone + labor. It is the LCD screen flex cable that causes the screen to malfunction. These beauties are available on ebaY cheap. If you have this phone and are experiencing this problem here's your solution.
It really is a catch 22 if you are going to buy this phone; you have to take the bad with the good.
