Samsung SGH A747 (AT&T)

I recently had a Samsung ZX-20, it is now a vegetable.
I decided to look around for about two weeks for replacement phone. I decided between the Samsung A747, and the LG-9100. I do a lot of text messaging, emailing and IMing so it took a little bit more for me to get the Samsung. I have never been too keen on the slim phones like the razr, so I went to a AT&T store and see the phones in person. The Samsung didn't feel flimsy like the razr, so I was very surprised with that. I went through all of the menus and played with the settings, and with no time it began to feel like it had the best part from all of my phones Ive every had. I also looked at the LG and I played with all the settings. The keyboard didn't feel like a good fit(unlike the sidekick). I brought a memory card when I went to the store, the Samsung had a very good speaker, and you could use everything else while listening to music as well. The LG didn't have too good of a speaker, you couldn't listen while you do anything else. Ive began to listen to a lot more music now. So I got the phone today and I played with everything, and It feels really solid, Ive dropped it while on my bike a few times, and its still alive and kicking. So it was a very good choice in the slim phone category.

this phone works great my husband really likes it..and is easily oprerated..he don't like change and this phone works well for him..

I bought 2 of these phones back in 12-08 one for me and one for the wife. The phones came with all accessories including a 512mb sd micro card, AC charger, USB cable, battery, and manuals...etc.This has been an awesome phone!It has sooooooo many features to it I don't think that we have used or seen them all yet. I have d/l all my tunes to the sd card and play them at work. I have recently figured out how to take youtube videos and put them on the phone! I have never ran the battery down to zero, when it reaches 1 loss bar after three days of use I charge it. I have d/l Pc Studio 3 and had that figured out and working in less than an hour, what a BIG HELP! I sat here and read the first review and thought to myself "What an Idiot"!!! I usually do not write any kind of reviews on products that I buy , but when I seen all those NEGITIVE remarks on this phone I just had to set the story straight. I have since bought 4gb sd cards for both phones which lets me take over 1000 pics, over an hour of video with sound and it has stored over 900 songs that I have d/l to it. I have also hooked it up to a bluetooth headset(Plantronics Voyager 855)for stereo sound, even thou you don't have to use the other ear piece for stereo it plays just fine for one ear. I have d/l my own ringtones and set each caller with their own tone so as to I know who it is when they call! I can't say enough about this phone, and I can't think of anything negitive to say about it. For any person with any common sense this phone is a must. If you can read and are not afraid to explore a little this phone will be your best buddy. Please dis reguard what the first reviewer says, they must have bought it from a crackhead that had stole it from someone and then sat doing crack trying to figure it out!

Nice slim phone, packed with features. Easy to navigate. Good voice quality.
This phone was a replacement for a Motorola Razr, there is no comparison between the two. The Samsung is hands down the better phone.

I really like this phone: it's size , weight, stays charged for up to a week ease of use. should have changed sooner!!!
I had a nokia n75 and it would run the battery down in a couple of days even when not making any calls. very heavy phone glad I am rid of it!!!

i can't understand how to get songs and download mp3 files onto it and it should've came with the faq which it didn't, and it also didn't come with any of the plug-ins or small parts like usb cords or sd cords or headphones if it was supposed to.
