Samsung SGH A737 (AT&T)

The phone did not have a battery, which I knew when I bought it. I got a battery and when I put it all together, the phone does not work. Also the little white strip that shows whether it has had water damage or not, is missing....it appears I have been taken for a ride.

It's a great mobile and exactly how they describe. I decided to buy it because I was tired of my old phone and with the company was very expensive buy a cell phone without contract. I love it and I recommended a lot. The phone came in his original package and with all the equipment.

I bought a Samsung SGH A737 Phone 74205 three weeks ago and was immediately impressed with the number of features available on this inexpensive phone. It has a camera, video camera, and speakerphone. The Phone's size is perfect for carrying in a pocket and the battery has a pretty good lifespan of roughly 4 hours. I'd recommend the phone if you're on a budget

I just like the simplicity of operation on this phone. I need it to just call people in my address book or for them to reach me. It is a very simple phone well designed and well made.

I've had various phones, the most recent being a Samsung Sync. That was a nice phone but it eventually wouldn't start up. Would just keep in a loop turning off and re-starting.
I contemplated buying another one but decided to look for a slider phone because flip phones are a real pain to open with one hand.
After reading and reading reviews I got this new one, the A-737. It was used but like brand new. I was already familiar with Samsung so I didn't need to learn the menus.
The phone is compact, slides open easily. Display is fine, easy to navigate, loud enough which is a problem with some phones. Battery life is longer than my old Sync which is good, but as usual there is a very short warning time before the phone goes dead.
I don't text, use the internet with it, play videos, etc. so I cannot comments on any of those features. I use it strictly for what it was intended to be - a telephone.
No major negative but here are a few:
o With the slide open the screen part has a slight loose feel to it.
o The keys are a bit on the small side for someone with large fingers.
o There is one button on the side that gives you a menu of choices that I have no use for and keep hitting by mistake just holding the phone.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone. I bought an LG Shine for a relative and the Samsung is definitely better. The LG Shine had a joystick navigation system which I did not like at all.

bought for my 17 yr...easy to use, very functional..good condition, yet sound is terrible....always sound like she is in wind tunnel and or muffled..
too bad, eh?

I have been using the A737 since samsung / att introduced it. I luv this phone!
It is very easy to use, there is many features, and i have never had any problems. I just purchased my second one, but would still be using my first one, had i not had an accident and broke my screen. Pop in a memory card connect your bluetooth headphones, and you have a great mp3 player. I expect it will be quite sometime before i am willing to give up this model!!

The product came in the promised time and has worked perfectly, I have no complaints. I was a little skeptical given the great price, but I went for it anyway and was pleasantly suprised.

I bought this phone for a replacement unit.
Even it is from the same carrier, somehow the phone is "sim locked".
Has to go thru the troble of calling in the AT&T rep and tried several attempts failed to unlock the "sim lock". Finally had to go to thestore to spend 45 mins and do a master reset of the whole phone.

I love the ease of use and as a backup and primary phone it is great. Very useful for daily life and very practical.

I decided to buy this product because I have owned 2 more like this and love the ease of use. This phone is very reliable & stylish. I will most likely buy another when needed. I love samsung products, they never let you down.

The first Samsung SGH my daughter had was excellent. We purchased it from AT&T. After it fell into the pool this summer, we purchased this one for her on eBay. I usually have excellent purchasing experiences on eBay, but not this time. The phone did not work at all. When I tried to work it out with the seller, he refused to refund my money or even try to work something out. Lesson - watch who you buy from. Even if they have excellent ratings, email them to make sure you can return it if it doesn't work. "As is" doesn't necessarily mean just wear and tear.

this phone is the best. its easy to use, has all the cool great features that someone would want if they werent looking for one of those $100 fancy touch screen phones. i also have to say that this particular samsung phone never ever has any problems, i have dropped it a million times and it still works!! i love this phone so much that i had to buy it again when someone stole my previous phone of the same model. i couldve gotten any phone, but i love this phone so much that i SPECIFICALLY looked on ebay so i could get it!

I purchased the phone in good faith since I needed an AT&T sevice to replace the phone I broke and I was not eligable for a free phone from AT&T yey. This phone was not at all what I expected it to be. The actin on the slide part was sloppy, there were more dings and scratches than I expected and it keeps dropping calls. I inquired with the seller and was told to try and work with AT&T to correct some of my issues. I have not been plaqued with dropped calls before and rather than spend my time trying to correct this phone I just bought another some where else and resolved my issue myself. I'll try and give this phone away on Craig's list.

i love this samsung with its beautiful quality pictures and the design made the person i offered this phone very happy.I did not receive any complaint,which is the most important.

I am so pleased with my recent purchase of this phone. Let's begin with the seller, Mobile Karma. It had a 99% approval rating, and I understand why. The sale was finalized quickly through Paypal, and Mobile Karma sent out the phone within three days. When it arrived, it was in perfect condition with not one but two batteries. I was easily able to move my SIM card from one phone to the other and begin using the phone that day. By the by, Mobile Karma is an American company, so you will be receiving a phone from the U.S. in all likelihood. That's something that is crucial for anyone who has bought several phones and understands that sometimes you get screwed when you purchase from overseas.

The phone is wonderful. When slid down, it locks everytime. That eliminates completely the dreaded "butt-dialing". It can be unlocked if you aren't much for sliding your phone up constantly, but it does automatically unlock once the phone is slid up.

The phone's functionality is excellent. It is Bluetooth ready and plays streaming music and video without delays. It could use slightly more memory, but this is only an issue for those wishing to use this phone as a dual phone/IPOD. I don't have Internet because I'm cheap, but the capability is there, and I'm certain it would work well on any 3G network.

The screen options are excellent. I particularly like the quill pen setting that writes the numbers in color as you dial them.

The camera has only 1.3 megapixels. I wish it were more, but the pictures are viewable.

The only negative aspect is the small size of the phone pad, but that is true of any slider phone. I have already grown accustomed to it and don't think about it, but others who have used my phone have commented on it. If you have truly large and/or fat fingers, then you should probably buy a standard Nokia or something such as that.

I did not get the phone when I found out that you had to buy a plan with the phone. So when I thought that I was getting the phone at a really good price I was not getting a deal at all. And I would not buy from this person again.

this product that I purchased I never received cause after the purchase the seller no longer was a member of ebay. have not yet received the product which I never will and my refund not yet refunded.

I like it this phone, for make, design, caractheristics. performance,and many more!! I recommend it
