Samsung SGH A737 (AT&T)

I bought the Samsung A737 about 2 weeks ago because of previous good experience with Samsung and my motorola was beginning to deteriorate. It was a great investment.

The camera quality is not a big reason I bought the phone but 1.3 MP camera is a big difference from the regular VGA cameras. I do not recommend using this as a primary camera device. The screen is big enough to run websites(without it being crunched to miniature size), videos, and the internet tv. The menu is easily accessible and the home screen has a dedicated Option button where you can assign the shortcuts you want all under that one menu. The internet access is very quick to load any website whether there is full service or very low service. Its memory capacity is excellent for holding all my messages, contacts, recent calls, and all the other digital stuff without having to get rid of media in order to add more. Its all on their together. Also includes XM Sat Radio available to listen.

I live in an area where typical service is 1-2 bars, occasionally full service. Guaranteed full service once I get into the city. I have noticed that when service is low, it always finds a way to get atleast 1 bar to make the call. Text messaging always seems to work with or without service. I also like the whisper mode feature which allows the microphone to become more sensitive when you must remain quiet or "whispering" into the phone. I am currently purchasing a MicroSD card to put music onto and see how that turns out with the phone. Holds charge for days a time but the longest I have had it off charge has been 3 days and it was still atleast half charged. The keypad is somewhat small, as it is with most small phones but it is not finger cramping small. Still easily usable.

One of the biggest problems I seem to have with phones is when I place them in their case or holster or pocket, buttons get pressed and the phone may turn off or dial someone without you knowing. The phone has an auto lock feature when you slide the phone into close position, it will lock so no buttons work. You can still use the phone this way, you just have to press a few buttons to unlock it or slide the phone to open. This feature can be adjusted accordingly.

A few things I did notice that I don't like is that it comes with very few (10) irregular ringtones. You pretty much have to buy ringtones from your provider to get a good one that you like. Its games are all demos so not much there until you buy the game.

I give the phone an A rating and would recommend to any regular user of cell phones. Easy to use with many features at hand!
