I got this phone about one week ago, and was thrilled with the size of it. It is approximately the size of one of those dollar calculators at wal mart. I had really been wanting a tiny phone that wasn't a flip phone. I made my first phone call on it, and immediately, my caller complained about the echo. At first I hoped that it was just because I was in a bad area, but alas, it was a bad phone.
This is a beautiful phone, and has the typical samsung features. It definitely is a step down if you are used to all the features on a razr. The screen has great color, but the 1.3 mp camera takes very poor pictures.
I wish I could have waited until they got the echo issue worked out of the wafer, but I had to return it and ended up getting a samsung u520. Hopefully that will work out better!

These people who are complaining about this phone have no idea what they even have in their hand.
No, there is no headphone jack. Not like a normal jack but you can purchase one from Wal-Mart that goes into where you charge the battery for 5 bucks. You don't have to buy a bluetooth to use it.
The camera takes normal 1.3 megapixel pictures. They are the normal quality you would get from a camera phone. I've seen so much worse on phones that it's not even funny. Try learning how to use a camera before you complain.
No free games? Haha. Welcome to 2007. Did you expect Snake to be preloaded on your phone. That's not the way it works anymore. Especially with quality phones. Quality phones now play quality games which you have to pay for.
The Web browser is great.
The person complaining about the scratch on her screen apparently just put it in her pocketbook without a case. It has a top notch screen and it needs a case to protect it. That's all there is to it. I've had mine for a while now. It cannot get scratched while it's in the case and the only way that it gets scratched if I have it out is if I drop it.
This is the best phone I have ever purchased. If you want this phone it's a great buy. Just make sure you know how to use everything before you complain. There are so many options on this phone that it will make your head spin but once you learn how to use it you'll love it.

This is an awsome little phone. IT is by far the thinest phone I have seen and have owned. The features on this phone are awsome, and the only thing it doesnt have is a speaker phone. Other than that I love it. O and for those who complain about an echo they fixed it. All you have to do is download the update through your phone and your good to go.

READ THIS!!! do your research before buying this phone. Well over half of these phones are defective and everybody hears a horrible echo on the other end of the phone. This is why the wafer is no longer available directly from Alltel. Alltel acknowledged the defect when I asked about it and let me download new firmware for the phone and it only made the echo worse. IF YOU ARE SMART, YOU WILL DO THE RESEARCH AND NOT BUY THIS PHONE!! I AM NOW OUT $150 AND CANNOT RE-SELL A DEFECTIVE PHONE TO SOMEBODY ELSE.

The phone was cool at first, but little did I know how bad it would echo. It was pretty annoying when on the phone and people have to ask you to repeat everything because an echo comes throughout the whole conversation. I returned this phone to alltel 3 times because every wafer I would receive would come with an echo. I wouldn't recommend this phone to anyone, since alltel is going to take it off the shelves due to the problems.

Ive had my phone for a few months now. The reception is pretty bad. I like some of the features but I am very disappointed that the "video" phone can only play 10 minutes of video. Also there are no free games and everything seems to cost a bunch of money. My screen and phone have both scratched very easily and the pretty screen doesn't look the same with a big scratch on it. I am not hard on my phone, it just hasn't held up to normal wear and tear. There is also no headphone jack on the mp3 phone, so you either have to listen to your mp3s on the crappy speaker or buy an expensive stereo bluetooth head set. I dont like mine at all.

I got this phone about a week ago, and I love it. The design is incredible and the display quality is great. It is packed with sweet features like an mp3 player, celltop, and gps and internet capability. The only thing that I don't like about it is that it is that the picture quality really isn't that great. I'm not one who take a ton of pictures on my mobile phone though, so it works out for me. It's a good one.

the phone is awesome!! the other reviews on here say the phones not all its cracked up to be !! Hah!!! I figured out all the features it has so its not that its not user friendly we just need to study it better when we get it!! The phone came as promised and I had it turned on just as quickly as I unpacked it! The clarity of the phone is good! Thank you soo much1 When I was in a bind for a phone I was able to get the features I had for lesser the cost!! Thanx Again!!!!!!!

The sellers communication was ok, He did however take a while to get back to me. The phone is nice but does'nt do all the function it says it will do in the description. i did keep the phone and am using it, but I think that he should of offered some $ back for the short commings on the phone. But he did not & I did not push the issue. Thanks brenda

I've had this phone since July and I can't STAND it! It echoes horribly and my bluetooth has never worked. The only thing I like about it is the quality of pictures it takes (and sometimes the pictures come out horribly). My phone has reached the point now where it begins to shut on and off by itself. It's definitely not worth the buy.

i have this phone. the people that say it cant take good pics. there wrong. they just dont know how to use. there are soo many setings on this phone its crazy. if you get it nailed it will take grate pics.

The phone is working great. The phone was at a price I could afford and the quality is excellent. The dealer was very polite and professional. I will consider doing business with them again. The delivery was slower than expected but the packaging was very good and the phone was in excellent condition.

This phone exactly fits the bill. My daughter has worn out 5 flip phones in 6 months. This one has the same functionality but doesn't flip. It has stayed working well through the abuse she exudes on it. Thanks.

Samsung SCH WaferThe Wafer is thin, but still longer than most, Just a little narrower and feels fragile.
The quality of the Audio is pretty good, however the, "Speaker On/Off", function is deep in the Menus to enable, only for that Call, "Each and EVERY", not just a button on the side or screen and no preset to speaker automatically.
The Screen is bright and has very nice contrast, as well as it's, "Zooms', when over function TABS.
I have not tried and Accessories on it, battery life seems very good.
As a Handheld Cell it's about a 3 for quality, When you have signal, it shows and connects about 20% less in fringe areas than our Motorollas, Nokias, Kycoceras, Treos Etc...
I put a carbon fiber shell on it, making it bigger, but it slides into my front pants pockets nicely and is easy to answer, depending on the use it does what I need & is certainly not a waste of money.
Over all due to Voice Quality and size, I give it a "2", Much Better than any previous Samsung that we've used, I .E. Muse, Hue Etc... With Light Use, It's life has ended, now only passes garbled Speech, 3 Month LIGHT USE, Babied the whole time, I carry an IPhone, Motorola RAZR & Adventure, they all seem to be tougher that the little wafer.

Wafer Thin but Wide performanceThe Samsung R510 WAFER is very thin and light, and reception is excellent. Best part is the battery. It never runs out. I can go a whole week without charging. I bought for the price, very reasonable, even cheap. The only dislike is that it is so small, sometimes I hit wrong button, but that is mostly me. Also, you have to hit something to see status, as it goes to blank, at least the way this one is set up.

DO NOT BUY THE WAFER!!This phone has ok features, but the call quality SUCKS. I didnt get the "echo" that everyone complained about, but this phone has horrible reception. I couldnt even get good reception in my kitchen!! I returned the phone after not even one week. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR: DONT BUY THIS PHONE!!
