Samsung SCH A650 (Verizon Wireless)

I was given this phone as a replacement for my motorola v60. Yes this is a basic phone, but it has everything you need in a basic phone; internet, calendar, great reception and yes it is pretty tough. I work in the law enforcement community and it takes a pretty good beating. I've dropped mine more than I can count, it's been knocked against walls, doors, sat on, you name it. The case finally did crack, but the phone still works, it just doesn't stay flipped open very well now, hence my buying another replacement.

If your looking for a tough, basic phone, I highly recommend this phone.

Thre isnt really much to talk about about this phone, just that is a color phone with no caller ID. Its a low end phone nothing fancy here!

Unless new or with accessories if you pay more than 60$ for it, you paid too much, and people the phone doesnt wait that much, anything more than 10$ you are being ripped off.

Pros:
1. Ok Battery life
2. Good Reception is a tri-band phone one of the only few with samsung.
3. It could take a beating and still hold its ground and not break like other phones.
3. Reliability of the manufacturer

Cons:
1. No caller ID in the outside
2. Thing get hot sometimes after heavy usage, I guess this a good in the winter months

Who is it for?

Your 12 year old kid or maybe yourself if you just need a simple phone without all the bells and whistles and dont want to spend a fortune on it.

Out of my four different cell phones, this is the best I have owned yet! It features both outside and inside screens with great details, easy to use features, and cool music option. I love the TrueTones, which allow your ringtones to sound like the real songs, not just a computerized ringtone. The V-Cast music option is neat, especially since you get the software to download your CDs to the phone.

My only negative comment is regarding the outside display. I wish it would stay on constantly (or at least have an option to). I often forget my watch and like to use my cell phone as a clock!

Not too many features but this is a very reliable phone. Theres no screen damage on mine after a year of use through everyday work, yet my new razor already has defects in the screen. Dropped it a few times, works great, didnt even crack. Overall great basic phone.
