The Digimax A4 features a 7.7mm - 23.1mm f/3.0-5.0 (equivalent to 38mm-114mm in 35mm film format) Samsung High Definition (SHD) lens that provides a 3x optical zoom. For shots farther away, the Digimax A4's 4x digital zoom gives the user the ability to cover the distance, and capture the intended shot.Shooters are also presented with 3 automatic shooting modes, including Portrait, Landscape and Text, 3 special effect modes, including black & white, RGB and sepia, as well as a 10cm macro setting, which allows shooters to expand their creative horizons by experimenting with close-up photography.First time users can also enjoy the benefits of the Digimax A4's innovative Power Movie Clip function, which provides unmatched flexibility and creative control. With Power Movie Clip, shooters can pause, fast-forward and rewind as well as choose the movie clip size, 640 x 480, 320x240 or 160x120 and frame speeds of 30 or 15fps. Power Movie Clip also allows the user to pause, fast-forward and rewind in the play back mode of the movie clip.The Digimax A4 is shipped with 16MB of internal flash memory and can also support an external SD/MMC card, providing up to an additional 512MB of memory. Users can choose from an array of image sizes as well as three different resolution settings in Superfine, Fine and Normal.Once the images are captured and stored, PictBridge technology allows for easy output directly to a printer via a USB connection. In addition, users can download images to their computer, by taking advantage of the Digimax A4's advanced software suite, which includes ArcSoft Photo Impression, Digimax Viewer and Digimax Reader.The Digimax A4 boasts a highly intuitive graphical user interface (GUI), which facilitates easy access to the vast array of advanced functions and capabilities contained within the cameras. The A4 features a large 1.8" LCD, which makes it easy to view the subject during capture and playback, while an innovative new feature allows users to switch between capture and playback modes with just a single touch of the shutter button.The A4 also features a user-friendly, one-touch playback button that allows users to view their images even if the power is off! Shooters can also crop, rotate and resize their images right on the camera, without having to download the images to their computer.
