Samsung DVD-HD870 DVD Player

it was realy great.I highly recommend this item (samsung dvd HD870)TO EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO HAVE A CRYSTAL CLEAR PICTURE.I REALLY LOVE IT MYSELF AND ENJOYING MY MOVIES NOW.

This is a very nice unit. It plays CDs and DVDs excellently. It does
not record nor make copies, but does what it designed for very compotently.

The tray door is a little hard to open with the button on the front
of the unit, but may be because I had to set the unit where it is hard
for me to see it. The

Thin lightweight unit. Good picture quality. Easy to use remote. HDMI output is great. Not a fancy unit but will do the job. Better quality picture with the upgrade function.

Absolutly perfect. Plays many formats. Has upconvert line doubling. It also has DTS audio. A Great buy for a great price.

Okay I can't afford a Blue-ray player and nor do I want to pay $26.00 per videos in Bluy-ray format, I needed a new DVD player. After look and allot of systems I narrowed it down to 3 up-conversion enable HDMI players, after some time, days actually, I settled on the SAMSUNG DVD-HD870.

So before I bought the SAMSUNG DVD-HD870 1080i Hi-Def Up Conversion DVD Player I read all the reviews and comments I could find. There were allot pros and some cons with this player.

What I found-out was that most of the con’s that people left were not really warranted. If those persons would have gone through the manual, took time to understand the settings, or stepped though the menus they would not have left the negative feedback they did.

Like most I pop the player out of the box, plugged in the HDMI & Audio COAX cables and cranked it up.. Well it worked but not to my liking; about 15 minutes with the manual and skipping through the menus and wham! I was rockin!

I’ve got it hooked up to my 42” LCD flat screen through the HDMI cable and to my 5.1 Surround System with a Audio COAX cable (I didn’t use the TOSlink CABLE because of the bends I have to make, but the port works great; I tried it)

I’ve used standard DVD’s, DVD’s mastered in 1080I (Terminator 2: Judgment Day (Extreme Edition) $5.00 at Wal-mat) up-converted, home made DVD-R’s, MP3 CD-R’s and Music CD’s.

I got a great picture and great sound out of this machine! I’m lovin it….
