Good with one chapter exception
I purchased this as a textbook for a college class. In general it does an excellent job of introducing current xhtml standards, with short, encouraging introductions to cascading style sheets and javascript.
I have to say that one chapter (introducing javascript) was almost certainly hastily edited. There were two almost identical paragraphs in succession, making almost the same point. There was a "But" conjunction between them...which confused me. I scratched my head and concluded that one paragraph was supposed to replace the other. Also, in one code sample I could be wrong, but I THINK there was a mistake.
Even so, it's clearly written, well designed and illustrated, and a great instructor chose it, so that's probably the most significant part of this recommendation.
