Sammy's Hill - Funny Look at Politics & Working World

Sammy's Hill was a funny glimpse of what it is like to live, date and work in Washington,D.C. If you like West Wing and Sex in the City, this is your type of book. Sammy is "every woman", attractive, neurotic, and intelligent, insecure in everything but what she knows about healthcare.

The only slow part of the book was when it became clear to everyone but Sammy where the romantic plot line was going. Once you got past that, it was clear sailing, the story about her working life was just as entertaining as the romance part, if not more so.

There were a couple LAUGH out loud moments, so becareful where you read it. I'm looking forward to more fiction from K. Gore.

Sammy's Hill is a lightweight read about a lightweight

The first book by Krisin Gore is about a somewhat ditsy Senate staffer; her goofs, antics and boyfriend adventures (sorry, Sammy we could see that coming) are written for the 20-something crowd, but I have to believe that even that age group would find this novel pretty light reading. Even the "ins and outs" of Washington politics should not be a surprise to anyone who pays attention to the news. A few funny moments but nothing that funny...forgive me, I just finished Janet Evanvich's Stephanie Plum detective series and THAT is rolling on the floor LOL!
