Sam & Max: Freelance Police is an award winning cartoon series based on the comics and adventure game - in the same style as Monkey Island - created by Steve Purcell, who would later go to work for Pixar Animation Studios. A hilarious mixture of slapstick and surreal, it has jokes and references that both children and adults will enjoy.

Available on DVD for the first time, this three-disc boxset doesn't disappoint. The first two discs have all the episodes, while the third has a number of extras to examine at your leisure.

For those willing to go past the stereotype that animation is strictly for kids, or even those with kids themselves, Sam & Max is definately worth picking up.
