R&B's introduction to JAZZ, & still true to the genre

It' s young R&B with an old jazz soul.
I have had this CD for three (3) years. This is her first album and with vocalist and songwriters like Lizz Wright music becomes transitive and more of a challenge to classify, so you need to experience her.
Rich vocals like Anita Baker.
Seductive rhythmic tones like Sade.
It's a smooth introduction into jazz if you are curious. A great addition to your collection if you enjoy R&B ballads or female jazz vocalists.
My favorite tracks: Vocalize/The End of the Line, Eternity, Goodbye, Fire, Blue Rose and most of the cd.
This album has personality and soul, enjoy finding yourself in her music. Subjects of relationship, self discovery, separation and the bitter and sweetness of the transitions. ("I'll never forget you,... Goodbye...Let's say farewell with a sigh and let love die") what a beautiful song. Lizz Wright is classic and powerful in this album. She has another album released in 2005 called Dreaming Wide Awake. My suggestion is buy Salt first, fall in love with it and them come back for Dreaming...
Great to play...on a rainy day and just stay in, it will make rain at the beach acceptable--at least for one day. Enjoy...
