Sailor Moon: Songs From the Hit TV Series by Original TV Soundtrack (Cassette, Feb-1996, Kid Rhino)

This cassette contains the English language songs used in the first season of the English language dubbed Sailor Moon release. While English-version tunes usually can't compare to the Japanese originals, these songs hold their own (this is coming from a snob who generally loathes any English dubbed music so this is saying a lot). They're catchy, well crafted, and emotionally touching.

I fell in love with most of the songs so when Kid Rhino released the cassette I was delighted to be able to hear them at any time, especially "My Only Love" and "Rainy Day Man." The only drawback is the cassette format as it's a pain to fast forward or rewind the songs, so in that respect, the CD I later purchased is my preferred format.

So, this cassette is really a matter of taste. For those who only prefer the Japanese originals, don't bother or borrow it from a friend to check it out first. But if you're a fan of the English-dub version songs, this CD is well worth the money.
