Great Gloria Swanson

Gloria Swanson's version of this oft-told tale of a fallen woman in mortal combat with a high minded reformer. It took a lot of finessing to get this one past the censors, even though it's pretty tame by today's standards. Whether you choose Gloria's silent version or Joan Crawford's talkie depends on personal taste - I like 'em both. Actually it's fun to compare the two actresses and how they realized the character.
