The Saddle Club - Season 1 (DVD, 2008)

My 2 kids ages 12 and 4 absolutely love this DVD. My 12 year old loves it for the drama between the "tweens" on the show and my 4 year old loves it for all the wonderful horses in the show. She loves to just watch horses. We will probably be buying more seasons of this!

I really liked this set. I really enjoyed watching The Saddle Club series whenever I could catch it on tv on cable. However, because I usually missed it, it is nice to have this set of dvds to watch whenever I want. I am a horse lover and like almost any show to do with horses. The tv series is based on a series of books called The Saddle Club. This is set around a group of young girls at a riding stable. The owners of the stable are their mentors. The shows are good for young people because it shows how these girls, interacting with both friends and enemies, handle relationships. Any young girls that like horses would probably like this series of shows. To my knowledge I haven't seen any other shows with this particular type format on tv.

I absolutely LOVE this show!!! I had read the series a long while back in elementary school, and was so thrilled that they were turing Bonnie Bryant's series into a televsion series. The plot follows three distinct young tweens: practical joker Stevie, straight-A Lisa and horse lover Carole, and their trials of growing up between boys, horseback riding and their loyalty to each other. This television series is a great program for young ladies to relate to, as I had been a tween while it was still on the air. I HIGHLY recommend the Australian/Candian version of this series (Season 1 and Season 2); I feel that the American version (Season 3) lost its luster, talent and charm that the first two seasons had had. This is a great purchase!!!

My 9 yr old grandaughter loves these adventures, watches them over and over, took them to the babysitters, (21 yr old) she liked them too, said very real, and true to life.

This is a great set for the horse lover. The stories are sweet with a lesson to learn about being the best you can be. Highly recommend!

My daughters have always enjoyed the Saddle Club books; and we were glad to find out that a TV show had been made based on the them. When Season 1 came out on DVD, we decided to get it. My daughters love it. It is just as good as the books.

I just discovered this wonderful show recently, on Discovery Kids, and am a dedicated fan, at age 52. My husband tivo's it for me, and I watch it when I get home from work. I have loved horses all my life, and dreamed of going to ride in a stable where I would have friends who loved horses too. Some of the show is sort of corny (okay, it IS a kid's show!), but I love it just the same. My husband just shakes his head. WHEN IS SEASON #2 coming out on DVD? Someobdy let me know!
