Sacrifice by Beverly Lewis (2004, Paperback)

Mrs. Lewis writes incredible books, and it is a privilege and joy to read her series! I purchased a set for myself, and could not wait for each successive book to be published. The life of the Amish seems to be portrayed very well, the characters are like the best friends within pages of beginning each book. My only dislike in this series has been in waiting for the next one to come out! I correspond with many people in prison through my church's prison ministry, and often purchase gently used Christian books to share with them, or send my own copies when I have finished them. The Sacrifice, and other books in this series, are ones that I did not want to give up my own copy, and purchased it as a surprise for a young lady who also loves Beverly Lewis' writing!

The third in the series of Abram's daughters. With each suceeding book the family grows larger and grows up. Each book brings new struggles between the faith and the individual, it shows the effects of religious practices and the desire to make decisions beyond what the Amish faith dicates. Well written, very easy reading, very insighful both into the Amish faith and the questions of any faithful whatever their religious practices.

This book made everything else have closure in this series. Leah finally gets married after raising her mother's family and comforting her sister's loss of child. Leah ends up being in the family way and bringing twin boys into the family and everyone seems happy and it all made me cry like a baby. I love books that have such endearing stories and this series is one of the best I have ever read. I highly recommend it for those of you who like true stories and heartfilled stories of hope and dreams.

This was one of the books I needed for the series of Abram's daughters. Very good reading material for any age.

this was the last book i needed to complete my set. the "abraham's daughters" series is my favorite by Beverly Lewis. excellent books.

this was the third book I bought in a series that my mother needed... You see she lives 3000 miles from me, and well I have had a love for books all my life, and to be able to give them to my mother, well I got on line and full filled her requests...
I am so glad that she got all three in record time, and finish her story... It not only gave us something to talk about each day... but filled our hearts with the Love of a great Author... Thank YOU

Lots of exciting twists in this series that keeps you reading. I love to read about the Amish and their simple life style.

A 5 books series that allows the reader a glimpse of the Amish way of life while entertaining the reader with the love story of an Amish teen and her family. The 5 books take us from her teens through her late 30s. Great book!

This book is one of my favorites. Beverly Lewis is an excellent writer and her stories bring characters to life and deal with real life issues. This story will make you think about the good things in life and take a deeper look at how God can turn negative situations around for good.

excellant buy and great shipping methods. I ordered the book on a Monday and was reading it by Thursday. You can't buy a book at the book store for this kind of money and great condition. It's a great book to read and I would recommend this to anyone.
