This author is ALWAYS listed on REAL Native American websites & in REAL American Indian Activists lists of fakes & plastics! Feel free to see for yourself on just these few websites:

ABOUT SAMS:
MANY Native American activists have greatly castigated her works for their trivialization and commercialization of Native American spirituality. Nevertheless, the number of plastic shaman authors, not to mention their commercial success, continues to swell. Jamie Sams is a former country-western singer who claims to channel "Leah", an entity supposedly living on Venus (YES< VENUS!) six hundred years in the future. Sams later seized on Native American spiritual themes. Sams claims that she was taught by the "thirteen clan mothers" (she NEVER says WHICH CLAN, WHICH TRIBE!) who took human form during the Ice Age and then disappeared, leaving the "thirteen crystal skulls," one of which Sams claims to have seen. Sams teaches her readers how to call up the thirteen clan mothers by focusing on them, each of whom has her own shield and her own special abilities. Sams is NOT a member of any REAL American Indian Nation, & has claimed relationship to more than one. Sams, along with Ed McGaa & others, HAS been instrumental in creating & perpetuating the so-called "RAINBOW TRIBE". Read all about them on numerous websites found easily by Google Search!

Among the most tell-tale examples that this woman is pulling the legs of her white, New Age followers are the following statements she makes in just ONE of her books:

~"Every person has nine power or totem animals" (Sacred Cards)
(NO INDIAN TRIBE ON EARTH WOULD MAKE THAT STATEMENT! Sams doesn't EVER cite her sources! She knows what that would bring down on her!)

~"Thtoh, the Atlantian who later returned as Hermes" (ibid)
(ASK ALL THE TRIBES IF THEY CAME FROM ATLANTIS! I DARE YOU! )

~"All of our petroglyphs speak of the Motherland, Mu, and the disaster that brought the red race to North America..." (ibid)
(ALL "OUR" PETROGLYPHS??? NOT THE ANIYUNWIYV, SAMS! WHICH ONES HAVE ANY OF YOU SEEN THAT SPEAK OF MU?)

It's ABSURD fantasy, science fiction! INDIANS DID NOT HAVE MEDICINE CARDS! THEY STILL DON'T! GO ASK THEM YOURSELVES! The phone numbers of all Tribal Offices/Chiefs is listed on the internet! Find the ones for the CHOCTAW (Mississippi AND Oklahoma Bands) and the SENECA & just CALL them & see if either agree with anything Sams is teaching as a "daughter" of these two Tribes!

If you want to buy into Sams as a NEW AGE guru, or adopt he teachings as NEW AGE SPIRITUALITY, fine! Just don't delude yourselves that you're getting AUTHENTIC NATIVE AMERICAN teaching fro ANY Tribe from SAMS & her ilk! Like it or not, go ask the Tribes!

I used these cards last year on retreat and found then invaluable so I bought them for me to use more regularly. They are very accurate when I look at what is going on around me and they help me make important decisions. Their wisdom is profound drawing from ancient culture and knowledge. The images are lovely.

The writing in the guidebook is very helpful with an illuminative description of the card and a clear and helpful guide on how to apply it. Both the cards and the book are packed in a box that keeps both together safely and is easily stored and retrieved.

They are a delight and a 'must have' in your library

NEver think cards cannot offer guidance. These do and they are the way to the truth. I have solved more of life's problems with these cards than any others. Just be open and accept what they say and you will not be disapointed!

I thought I was buying just the cards. I didn't think the description was clear. There was just the book and no cards. I was disappointed. They were for a gift.

I was recommended these cards by a friend. I believe these cards will guide you to where you want to go in your spiritual life...a true pathway based on Native American ways. These will help you to deprogram the matrix in your life to see the truth and the correct way to The Great Spirit.
