I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THE CHARACTERS TITLED "THE SACKETTS". BOOKS AND THE MOVIES . IT WAS REALLY WONDERFUL TO SEE ALL OF THE GREAT ACTORS THAT WERE IN THIS FILM. JACK ELAM,BEN JOHNSON, SLIM PICKENS, GLEN FORD, TOM SELLECK, SAM ELLIOTT, JEFF OSTERHAGE. I THINK ANYONE WHO HAS READ LOUIS L'AMOUR'S BOOKS WILL CONCUR THAT THIS WASN'T A BAD ADAPTATION. BEAR IN MIND WE ARE TALKING ABOUT HOLLYWOOD HERE. THEY CAN REALLY CREATE HAVOC WITH ANY BOOK. CONSIDERING THIS WAS COMBINING 2 BOOKS IN TO ONE FILM IT WAS DARNED GOOD. THEN OF COURSE MY PARTIALITITY FOR SAM "THE MAN" ELLIOTT MUST BE RECKONED INTO MY JUDGEMENT. DESPITE THAT IF YOU LIKE WESTERNS YOU WILL POSITIVELY REVEL IN "THE SACKETTS" !

I have enjoyed the Sackett books and this video was good also, however, it has been around for a while and a bit worn out. The sound and picture quality is not the best.

I got this video as a Christmas present for my Dad. I have been looking for a copy of this movie for a long time and I finally found one. I have seen it on DVD, but my Dad is from the old school and does not own a player, so I had to look a litte harder to find one on VHS. I am sure that it will bring long hours of enjoyment for him.

I like westerns and I like the actors in this movie.
