Ever wonder what it would be like to be part of a SWAT team? Wonder no more SWAT 4: Special Weapons and Tactics from VU Games puts PC gamers into the world of SWAT in this first person shooter game. The GOLD EDITION includes both SWAT 4 and The Stetchkov Syndicate expansion. As a squad commander, players are put in charge of a group of five SWAT officers and must carry out missions ranging from stopping a jewelry heist and arresting criminals to raiding illegal casinos and disarming explosives. Unlike some shooter games, however, SWAT 4 makes players play by the real world rules: even though the squad is armed, it can�t shoot criminals on a whim. Players must try to make non-lethal arrests, making the game require much more forethought and planning than most shooters. The single-player mode is made up of over two dozen campaigns, each its own short story. Players control one character while issuing orders to the other four, who break up in pairs. There are plenty of weapons available, including the standard pistol and machine gun and more unique weapons pepper spray, tear gas, and a paintball gun as well. In co-op mode, each squad member can be controlled by a player, making the game really come alive. There are many first-person shooter games on the market, but SWAT 4: Special Weapons and Tactics use of real-world rules and co-op ability make it stand apart from the rest.
